Replacing who? We’re not gonna go 3 at the back. We have too many good attackers to fit into two spots.

There are far more pressing areas to blow £40m on than centre back

Toby.

As i said, IF he comes and that would not be the case if Toby had a change of mind and stayed.

Hmmm..I disagree. I just don't see us spending 40m on a bench player. Verts in the form of his life and Sanchez is developing nicely. No way either of them are being ousted.

As i said i don't think he'll be coming in to be a bench warmer and will challenge both Jan and Davison. De Light is probably the most outstanding teenage CB in the world.

It's obviously all about opinions though. :)

I would not be surprised to see Vertonghen rested more frequently next season. He mentioned something recently about talking to Chiellini after the Juve match, where Chiellini talked about the aging process and it is important not to over-do things all season.

This season, nobody played more matches than Jan across all comps. 48 out of 54 matches. I could see him cutting back to 35-40 matches next season - focusing on the big matches.

Imo yesterday's game was a clear indication that Toby is not fully fit. He really struggled and didn't look sharp
We've been wanting Toby to play ever since he came back from injury and left baffled when he didn't even make the bench, yesterday showed us why it has taken som time

He is not match fit mate as hardly surprising as he hasn’t played much for a long time. That’s his own fault though because if he, or his representatives, lower the demands he could be part of something really special.

He could, but then again, if he goes to Barca he is pretty much guaranteed some silverware in the next two season, we can’t really say the same about us. We may hope, but at Barca he will win something, the league, CL, Copa Del Rey or all of them.

I'd happily give them Toby if it meant getting Martial in return.

ONLY if we got him though. Don't want Luke Shaw or just a cash deal.

I wouldn’t.

I know we can’t compete financially with the Manchester clubs and I accept that, but if we as fans and a club even want to talk about the possibility of winning the league then we can’t continue to sell key first team players to direct title rivals.
