He doesn't help at all, but I don't think he's the only reason... If I'd gone further with that post I'd have said French football in general has those tendencies, that I personally don't like, and that from a Spurs perspective don't like our focus on the French market in the last few years..... But lets stick to the World Cup!

I disagree, massively. Tolisso and Pogba are superb, forward looking, 8’s, capable of playing incisive passes and playing with Tempo (Kante and Tolisso especially). Pogba played a great ball for the pen and got forward to score the winner. That CM3 is the best balanced in this WC in my opinion. And that front three is dynamic, direct, skilful, clever and productive.

But playing CB's as FB's against a grinder team is fucking ludicrous. Cuts your creative outlets by two. And worse, Deschamps is so pragmatic by nature he doesn't encourage a higher tempo, aggressive, proactive approach. He's stifling what could ba a fantastic group of players.

I don't think France are ever going to play like Spain. No other team at the WC will. But Spain are unique in that, and even they couldn't win last night and conceded three goals.

I think this is a fantastic French team, with possibly the best balance and blend of players at this WC. But they need a coach who's more proactive, than reactive in mindset.

That when a defender makes a last ditch challenge in the box that gets the ball it's usually not given a penalty.

Unless you're Australian and snail-snogging Frenchie-luvvers like @tiger666 and @Bus-Conductor are running VAR :cry::cry::cry:

I'm not a French lover, I just don't like Australia when it comes to sport. I'm sure there are many Australians that feel the same way about England.

That's just not true. We will no doubt go out in the group round (even if i really believe we deserved a point from that game!) then i will support England and Germany (the countries of my grand-parents). Never presume mate.

I’ve tweeted about Lawro and I never tweet. That’s how kissed off I am. Blinis and caviar at the licence payer’s expense and he sounds more miserable that Morrisey.
