We need width desperately. At the moment all our play is lumping it to try and get Rashford in behind.

Centre midfield we are getting killed, Lingard and Alli are fucked, Henderson just booting the ball in the air.

Change it now, not when it's too late. Get Vardy on. They'll shit themselves with these long balls over the top.

Huge advantage to France. One day more to rest plus they avoided extra time.

Who ever wins this game France will be massive favourites to win the final. It really is theirs to lose. However so was the Euro final the other year

Exposing the wide areas. Would take Walker and Dier off and would put RLC and Dier on.

433 and cut off that midfield strength

Why? We already have a couple of clowns out ...

Because there is nothing coming from the midfield. As much as I dislike the guy Wilshere offers more creativity than Henderson/Dier/Delph.

I don't think England did a lot wrong there, but finally we've got punished for being unable to keep the ball and control the ball for spells of the game. For all the effort, if the opposition enjoys so much of the ball in and around the final third, and constantly work overloads in certain areas (the flanks) then, usually, eventually the breakthrough will come.

I think the system has also got a bit exposed, out wide. All three midfielders look dead on their feet having to shuffle across constantly (as well as break forward) and there's a big disconnect now from back to front. I'd have gone 4-3-3, still would, match up in central midfield and try to pin back their fullbacks.

Tbf, if we get through it's a long shot we'd beat them. Their squad is lit and they are playing highly effective free-flowing football.

We'd be huge, huge underdogs and I'd expect to get a solid beating.

Would like to get there though.

Think that would be a fantastic achievement in itself.

Getting to the semi's is much more than I expected, so would still be pleased with our WC.

Big shame to not go on and win this, though, as Croatia offered themselves up for sacrifice, but it looks like we've turned them down.
