Fairs, but I think it was worth posting anyway. IMO there are people who genuinely think that all media stories are taken from this site, which is unfair on the journalists, some of whom (not all) actually have very good sources themselves.
It happens from the other side as well. Think its plenty fair to just think that both that both sides can get things information.

I think this was always going to happen. Levy doesn't care about getting players in for pre-season, he just wants the chepeast deal possible and if it goes to deadline day then that doesn't bother him. It's not something i'm in agreement with for footballing reasons but I can understand it at least.

I know it's a boring saying "doing a Leeds", but thank god your not our chairman with your supporters head on. the only way this deal would of happened before Pre Season, which only started this week, would of cost us 10+m extra. if we went for de Ligt it would of cost us 20m extra or give him back for 2 seasons, if we went for Martial and Utd did let him leave that too would be 10+m extra

He did say he can understand the reason for it.

I continue to be underwhelmed by the prospect of Grealish joining, but I'll be open to having my mind changed when he starts getting games for us and showing what he's about at this level.

And I'm sure convincing you is top of his priorities! If Poch want a him have faith that he does see him having a role in taking us forward..

If i say it enough times I will believe it!!

my bad, but to be honest there are a few posters you read to a certain part of their post, and it's continuous digs at the club for the way we have to work.

we are now seeing players get better contracts every season, and now we have the new stadium on the horizon we have doubled some, and big increases on others. we have a great squad, that does need a few touches here and there to try and stay at least top 4, and hopefully strengthen it to be able to compete in the cups.

the only way we win the league is hope we stay injury free, Man C have a mare, and no 1 does a Leicester, but because Poch said he wanted us to be brave (not suicidal) and hoped to get players in before pre season, everyone is panicking because we haven't done anything yet, and the one we look like doing 1st doesn't come from RM or another team for 70m.

myself the only player in my eyes that could get us to the promised land of PL champions is Bale, our weakest area for scoring and providing is RWF

I remain unconvinced but I'm really hoping he does well and I feel like a moron for doubting him.

Seems a bit of a no-brainer to me.

We pick up a good young prospect for a lower price than we might otherwise have because of his club's financial issues.

It doesn't seem like signing Grealish is going to stop us going for the Martial/Zaha type player either, so all in all I think this will be good business.

i came to the opinion five pints in last night that Villa and Upper Championship are about the same level as the portugese league or lower liga/seria A.

So if you had a 22 yr old portugese, Spanish or Italian kid at 22 ripping up the portguese league (young player of the season) we would be squirting man-helmans all over the player.

think of him as Jaques Grealisho and suddenly he's a must buy fan fave

He wasn’t really ripping up the championship though

I've always thought he was good enough for us and was disappointed that we didn't buy him when Villa went down, honestly if he'd come out of our academy we would be raving about him.
