Sooooo.... Breezer's post in ITK thread makes me think something... If Grealish is going to play enough for Spurs to be an England starter after just 1 season, that means he's going to play a lot. So he's our main CM signing?

What a depressing thought.

As long as he puts the effort in in pre season to get up to the fitness levels Poch requires, I expect him to get a lot of game time.

Dont think we can decide how depressing a thought that is until he is given some game time

sissoko had 1396 minutes last season in the premier league and statistically was our 2nd worst player in the premier league. Really not sure the downside of giving these minutes to Grealish and he will probably get more if he proves himself.

Any English player who is playing for a top six club has every chance of playing for England we are hardly spoilt for choice

If he takes Sissoko's minutes thats great. The only thing is Sissoko got very little time once we brought in Lucas and when Lamela and Wanyama got healthy. Winks comes back, those minutes have dried up pretty quickly. Poch, possibly to a fault and not having the players has never been huge with rotations outside of fullback.

I honestly think with some of you guys that if you went in to your garden and saw a golden unicorn shitting platinum bars you would complain that you have to clean up the mess.

You do realise that he could turn out to be exceptional ?
Just as we could sign for examples sake kovacic for triple the fee and he could be utter gash ?

It's not about the big fancy name or the fee it's about the best fit for spurs !
If Pochettino thinks greenish will be a great fit why not give the kid a chance you never know it worked out quite well with dele and he was league 1 level :)

My mates a villa fan a raves about him. I’m sure it’s a little ott as he’s 1 of them but from what I’ve seen he’s a level above the other players in the villa team. Not judging the lad by when villa were in the pl he was very young in a poor team.

I can see Villa sliding down through the leagues with their inability to recruit anything other than cheap loans.

I welcome the signing but if he's Dembele's replacement then I can't help being concerned.
Personally I think dele is our Dembele replacement and Grealish will be thrown into the mix to see how good he is and will be played in a mixture of the Dembele role and just in front.

Agreed, I've at least come around to the idea of him replacing Sissoko... Spending money on replacing that is not my favorite thing but I digress at this point. Replacing freaking Dembele... whole other story.

I prefer Dele higher up the pitch playing closer to Kane and getting on the end of crosses and through balls. He's wasted in CM, IMO.
