The best thing to do with transfer windows is take with a massive pinch of salt any comments coming out of the club. Have extremely low expectations for the outcome when the window closes and you might just be a little bit happy. Obviously there are exceptions e.g selling a class act like Berbatov and get Frasier Campbell on loan as a replacement + the Rasiak 11pm deadline signing.

Agreed. I think we'll sign one player at least, but it's possible it'll be a panic buy.

Panic buys. That's my greatest fear. Over paying on deadline day for another Sissoko-esque player that will be impossible to recoup any money on anyway.

Rather just sign no one any promote our academy players.

Im so confused as to what kind of player Grealish is back up for...add that to the fact we have a homegrown issue. No clue whats going on.

I agree on the point someone made about Liverpool..wait it out, don't buy for buyings sake.

I was thinking Ceballos, as Trix has brought his name up and he wants out of Madrid.

He seems a very very similar profile, and has been trained to play in a midfield 3 (which it seems we're going to play this season)

I question if we can actually get a deal like this over the line in 5 days though, if it is him, then Levy is playing a very very ballsy game.

My guess is that he wasn’t first choice but for the price we thought we could get him at it was worth it for us to try and grab him.

He'd be well within his rights to tell the club to fuck off if the-player-we-want-more-than-him falls through. If you're going to rip a player away from the club he actually loves, at least make him feel like your first choice ffs.

JJ mentioned that the agents are being extra difficult this window. Do you foresee that changing this week? WIth the window closing in England where, let’s be honest, most of the money is and most teams have been stymied this window do you think they’ll loosen up a bit?
