It's not going to be finished for Liverpool, but it will be operational. Think the 2nd Death Star in Return of the Jedi. Let's just hope we've got a better protected shield generator.Hi, new on here. I have genuine concerns about the stadium being ready. We are less than six weeks away from the Liverpool game and the stadium doesn't look anywhere near ready. Chris Cowlin (youtube) had builders shouting to him that there was no way the stadium would be finished, and even as the most optimistic supporter in the world he is starting to look doubtful. The pitch isn't laid, many seats need installing, the roof isn't complete, and the outside looks the same as it did months ago. What concerns me the most is the lack of apparent urgency. There always appears to be so little going on.
We did have a great shield generator but it only had a year left on its on of guarantee so we flogged it.It's not going to be finished for Liverpool, but it will be operational. Think the 2nd Death Star in Return of the Jedi. Let's just hope we've got a better protected shield generator.
Did anyone try the Falafel and Cous-Cous salad?

I would say your bang on. I just think it's a bit embarrassing that there will be swathes of panelling missing from the outside of the stadium, and have no doubt the media will be focusing on it. What's more, the stadium looks like toilet seat from the top

I'm sure the media will focus on it, but as long as we focus on what happens inside.
From what we are seeing and hearing from those lucky enough to get a look around we will be delivering an amazing stadium that offers a lot more than many other stadiums.
I see nothing embarrassing about how its coming together.
Frustrating at time, maybe, but even with the cameras on 24/7 We only see a fraction on the work going on.
It will indeed be a fantastic stadium, and of that I have no doubt. What I find frustrating is that there are swathes of panelling missing from the outside, but when ever I look on the micro site nobody is doing anything. Of course, there must be reasons, but for the life of me I can't think what they area
I suspect that the media people will be more concerned with how much free food and booze they can blag.I honestly don't think the media will give two hoots as to the exterior of the stadium or some superficial work outstanding on the first day. From the description above from Saturday I'd say they're more likely to be blown away by what seems to a pretty stunning place to watch football. And that will be with 62,000 there, not a few hundred staff on orientation.
Too early to say obviously, but I'm very optimistic that the club have got this spot on and delivered a home we're going to love and other teams will envy. Arsenal and West Ham fans in particular are going to be sick comparing it to what they have.
