Still not fussed at all on Grealish but at this stage if Spurs signed my mum I'd probably be delighted.

Will he be registered in time for the first game?
I don't know whether the rules are the same nowadays, but it used to be as long as the player is registered by 12pm the working day before then he can play. So yes.

Which is good as he's the only one who's played a competitive game so far.:)
I guess if we sign him it will be tomorrow at the latest so three days before our first game so no worries.

I'm a little surprised by how many of you seem underwhelmed by this transfer. It has all the hall marks of a classic Tottenham signing. Just look back at some of the other young English players we have signed from the Championship/Football League, going all the way back to Carrick through to Walker up to Dele. He has loads of potential, he plays in a position we badly need reinforcements, he's a ball playing midfielder of the type we have been short of for years and he no doubt knows many of the squad already which should help him settle in more quickly.

And always do under Pochettino

Not that I want this to sound like I’m bashing Poch here because I love the man but this isn’t always true. For every Dele there’s a Jansen, or every Winks there’s a Sissoko who just hasn’t improved but actually look like they’ve regressed.

At some stage people will realise we need to sign players who fit our style and ethos of play. It's not all about splashing millions of dosh on superstar names who won't cope with Poch's way of training and play. We've done stand alone player purchases who've offered nothing once bought and thankfully we changed that mentality when Poch arrived. Of course this doesnt guarantee they will all succeed however at least the % of success increases.

could've gotten him a lot cheaper when Villa were dangerously close to falling through the Moon Door, and he would've also taken part in the US Tour.

I'd like to think this has stung Levy and will be a powerful lesson for him in future but I doubt it!

I doubt it was that straightforward, no doubt Villa had been in talks with the new owners for some time.

Talk that we could be shoving Onomah the other way either permanently or on loan again as part of the deal, much to the dismay of most Villa fans who don't want him.

I have criticised Levy over this one, but it's now starting to look like he's played it very well.

Are you suggesting VillaTalk are a bunch of clueless bonk-eyed loons?

Huge if true...

To be fair to them, if we were accurate we would be lining up with Zaha and Martial either side of Kane with Milinkovic-savic pulling the strings.
