Surely it should be. Two weeks with 2 a days in the cold tub.
Dropped is the wrong terminology - needs to be better managed absolutely.
But he had three weeks post world cup no?
I dont think two weeks is enough - dont forget it wont be just physical tiredness but mental fatigue in my view.
Didnt poch say that kane turned up to training 2 days after the WC. Plus his missus was about to give birth so he probably didnt have anytime to relax
I understand we cannot rest Kane when Son was in the Asian game. Now Son is back, rotation is possible. (Sorry llorente)
That's why he gets paid the big bucks though. If we rest him and we dont do well then poch would get slaughtered. He can't win.
I just can't see Poch ever taking him out of the side. There was a period albeit brief last season when he did get injured against Bournemouth and we went to win that one 4-1, playing well and we then went on to beat Swansea away 3-0 and Chelsea 3-1. Then Kane came back against Stoke and we won 2-1 in a pretty poor performance and went on to lose against City, draw away to Brighton, lose to United in the Cup and beat Watford at home in what was a terrible performance if I remember correctly and then lose away to WBA.
Basically, in that short period I actually liked how we looked, the interchanging with Eriksen, Dele, Son and Lamela was great to watch at times and there was nice fluidity about our play. That all seemed to go once Kane came back in.
Regardless of that I'm not sure if it's right to drop him currently, although I'm not saying it's wrong either. If he scores in the next few games will the perception change in an instance? If he scores against Inter and Brighton and scores in both would people still drop him for the Huddersfield game?
Yes 100% he needs a rest, but no way Poch does it.
