Eerie.
though plenty of journalistic assertions
which overstretch the correspondences.
Still eerie though.

'Premature' as he says himself.

Interesting comparison but as he says still early

I think we made a huge mistake in the summer by not investing in players which might be one od the cause of this poor form but still early in the season yet.

1. Stop starting Kane who no longer presses from the front, so we never get our pressing going - and as a consequence don't generate tempo and urgency in our game - he jogs about all day pretending he's fit and ready to score when he clearly has not been right since his last injury.

Son's back, start him and address this situation with Kane as it's fucking serious and is causing a huge deficiency in our game.

For me, this is the #1 problem as we relied heavily on a fit, firing Kane who was furious in starting the press and was a constant lethal threat up front who occupied defenders minds with constant dread and apprehension.

He now doesn't provide either and is dead weight and actually prevents us from getting our game going.

If we start son, I would expect to see a vast improvement in tempo and intensity all-round via his energy in insitgating the press.

2. STOP PLAYING DIER FOR FUCK SAKE!!!! GOOD GOD, MAN!

3. STOP PLAYING DIER AND DEMBELE TOGETHER FOR FUCK SAKE.

*if either are on, drop the other. Both of them out there fucking about with ball and losing it is too expensive in midfield. It cannot continue!

4. Hugo is injured and Vorm is susceptible to high balls in...so guess what...STOP GIVING AWAY CHEAP SET PIECES FFS!

5. If you're going to play a 433 (which I still think should be our stock shape, alternated with 4231 when appropriate (only use 352/343 if we wanna control a game all day but not score!) , don't play the mid 3 uber fucking narrow and have the FBs BOTH bomb up the field at once into the final 3rd so we are fucked on the flanks on quick counters.

6. Be reticent. Check your ego, Poch. It's going wrong. Own it with the typical dignity you usually display; not channelling maureen.

Cut it out!

7. Stop telling the world - both manager/players alike - at the beginning of every season that you can win this that and the other. It's invariably the first stage of rot on our ambitions. "We will just do the best we can and see where it gets us." Just fucking say that.

Keep schtum, and laser focus on a domestic cup and try and nail one of those and bring in some silverware to give the players confidence in the project long term and it's ability to give them the accolades they desire in their career and give the fans what they've needed for many years now.

You are not the finished product as a manager. As much as I adore you, there's an element of entitlement about you where you believe you should be right at the top scooping up the highest available awards and all else is beneath you.

Bring it all down to earth; face the reality of Kane, Dier, Dembele, Dele and their current limitations and make some hard, necessary decisions to address our predicament.

Time to actually be "brave": drop who needs to be dropped and inject some fresh energy, drive and raw desire into the team.

Use Amos, use Foyth (when fit), maybe bring Skipp in here or there to test the water with him.

Be brave.

P.S. Oh, and stop dragging two players either side of the box to play out...tried it a few times in the past and it's nothing but trouble as they get hemmed in and end up playing it long and give it away, so it's entirely self-defeating.

Interesting you say that, the last time he was out injured, I thought we played better football. We looked more threatening, plus we scored a shed load of goals. We have plenty of goal threats in our team, I worry that we try to be TOO accommodating for Kane and are looking for him all the time, instead of opening it up to the team. I might be talking rubbish... But I doubt it ;)

Obviously not saying Kane's not important, he clearly is. But this Kane we have at the moment, is a passenger.

Winner winner chicken dinner.

I think we have enough talent in our youngsters for them to be given a go. GNK was on fire in pre-season and got totally overlooked. What message does that send? Son upfront is key. He has the passion, skill and SPEED that along with Moura and Lamela's tenacity could see us truely show our potential. Kane needs to rest big time. As I said, it's like playing with 10 men ATM when he's in.

Also lower our expectations BIIIIIIG time. I think we have it in us to get two trophies this year - the Europa and league Cup. Forget CL and reduce our expectations for top 4. I think that once we lift that pressure off the players, get them relaxed and enjoying their football which they clearly aren't right now, they could flourish.

Set a clear goal that is silver in colour, but a goal that is achievable. Arsenal got to the final and were utterly crap in doing so. This team needs to win silverware but start at the bottom, not the top. Mourinho didn't turn his back on the EL, so why do we?

Brighton is huge. Win that and we get some much needed confidence back and build some space between us and the chasing party. Lose... well I don't even want to consider what that would mean. Four losses on the trot... I can't even remember when last that happened.

If we put everything into a Domestic, we can win it. But that's it imo.

And it's all we need to form a platform for more in the future.

It's a psychological hurdle.

He needs to pick the low hanging fruit before he tries to climb to the top of the tree. And as More states, he needs to more flexible and trust himself, because he did that against Madrid and Dortmund away last season; in fact, his first away game against Arsenal was just the same, and funnily enough we lost our advantage when Lamela came off.

Point 4. Why not play Gazzaniga?

Stop playing Kane?...have you lost your marbles?

Stop playing Dier? Are you mad?

We've lost 3 games on the spin to that dreaded score line 2-1. In two of those games we've been winning. Pochettinho has to work the players even harder now imo he's been far to soft and it's backfired, most did not have a pre season so now it's time to pull up their lace and steam ahead.

I think Vorm deserves a proper shot after patiently sitting on the bench for years, being super professional and not moaning about it tbf.

If he's made any mistakes at the beginning of this run covering Hugo, I think he deserves a couple more games to give him the chance redeem himself, before we try Gaz.

Shunting him aside so soon - especially when the players in front of him have not done him any favours - would leave abad taste in my mouth.
