Shash has definitely filled out a bit looks stockier now. Remember when he made those brief cameos on bench for 1st team thinking he was just to feeble to have a chance. But feel quietly optimistic about him now. To his advantage we don’t really have a player like him. He’s almost a eriksen/moura hybrid.

Wouldn’t really think of Mahrez. But he does have the ability to dribble plus the creative awareness.

Does anybody remember Charles Daniels playing for Spurs Reserves because every time I watch Binks play he reminds me so much of Daniels in terms of how they both move and run around the pitch?

I remember Charlie well. I used to watch him as an U18 as well. He was a left winger in those days. I can't see the similarity with Binks myself. Daniels was never the quickest or the most technically gifted but I always felt he'd have a career, there was just something about him. Relaxed but focused, tidy without being silky, fit without having any particular stand out area he was over relying on. He just looked competent in most areas.

I have only seen bits of Sam Shashoua and always thought he looked looked a nifty player, but for those that have seen more of both brothers, do people think they have what it takes to eventually make the step up with us and which, if ether, has the greater potential.

Have the Shashoua brothers and Markanday played for any of the England junior teams?

Not seen enough of Armando but this guy goes to every game and loves. I don’t expect Sam to make it with us, but if he did I wouldn’t be surprised if that makes any sense. It’s just he is fighting with likes of dele eriksen lamela etc.

personally would say sam's the better of the two but it's early days for armando, they have similar attributes as to be expected but sam's more of a crafter with armando being more of an orchestrator. problem is that when our very best are struggling to break into the first team squad it's even harder to see those you'd probably have in the bracket below doing it. i'd be interested to hear how @IGSpur @Spurzinho and @edson think shashoua compares to pritchard when he was 19, i was only just getting into watching the academy by the time pritchard was just starting to go out on loan but he's the kind of level i have sam pegged as becoming if all goes well but i wouldn't want to put a hard cap on his potential just yet. also as @coys200 alluded to earlier, sam has put in a big effort to build his body up over the past year or so, before that i think it would've been difficult for him to compete with senior players regardless of the quality.

There’s a few weak spots in our squad namely back up striker and CM. Which is why Skipp is getting close. If we’d actually gone out and bought Jorginho and kovacic in the summer would Skipp have a hope probably not. KWP can’t even get past trippier/aurier who I’d say are good players but not top draw. Tbh I’m only just starting to feel like Winks is a starter and that’s probably been promoted by the England game the other night. Without an injury crisis any kids breaking through are now going to have to be exceptional. So it’s very hard to see how an AM/winger is gonna get past eriksen dele Son moura lamela. The only youngster who have really established themselves in the top 6 in the last 2 or 3 years are: Rashford which was an injury crisis, Trent+Gomez because Liverpool were really weak in those areas, and maybe just now Winks is really establishing himself.

I would say do not put any pressure on any of the u18s squad in term of making it anywhere near a first team Squad they are all far too young and are still learning their trade only player that has a chance at this stage is Skipp.

Armando Shashoua plays as a CM only, Sam Shashoua is the older of the two but can play in more than one position,I would like to see both do well,Armando might be a bit of a dark horse sometime down the line.

Just a update to my own favorite players for the u18s right now are Brooklyn Lyons-Foster and along with a lot of other people J’Neil Bennett.

Hard for me to compare Pritchard to Sam.S because Pritchard will always be on my list of Favorite players, but most of what you say is spot on,I will say I wounder what Armando will be like when he starts to Bulk up like his older brother and what will it do for him in the long run.

as much i want to see him at cb as much as possible, i do recognise its very good for our cbs to get some time at fb to get used of playing in wide areas of the pitch. Really feel thats why Toby and Jan are some of the best ball playing cbs in the world today.

Tbf BLF started out as a fullback I believe and only really transitioned into a CB over the last.couole of years. So not really out of position for him, and may be the reason he is so good at CB now

You lot are going to have to keep a eye on Rafferty Pedder this year now he is back.

I have been waiting for over a year to watch Pedder play and what I could see from his small cameo appearance today you lot will Love this player.

First off not many people have seen him play in over a year because of his injuries, so let me tell you how he has changed since maybe a few of you last saw him play,he has got a lot bigger and he is about the same size as Maxi Tainio but the thing that surprised me today was his speed, he is a lot faster than I remember and he can use both feet he has excellent movement off the ball and the Lad can pass a ball as well.

He came on just after we got our 4th goal and it was his shot that Binks scored the rebound from with his looping header over the keeper.

It will take Pedder a long time to get into this very good u18s team but he is as Talented as any other player in that Squad just need to stay away from injuries.

Glad Predder (and you) is back. Shame I couldn't go today but really want to see how he is now after he caught they eye at a young age. Injuries have kept him out but clearly he is one of those players, like Clarke last year, where you have to keep them on just in case. Played a game for England I believe before vetting injured. I do believe that his hairstyle probably contributes to the people rating him highly as he catches the eye more but he is a rally good player.

I have no scientific basis for this but I just believe if you have one player with shirt brown hair and another with a tummy hairstyle you are instantly drawn to the player with the funky hairstyle more. Bit as I say Pedder isba good player and along with Thorpe it will be interesting to see if they can get themselves into this team. Even Clarke was on the bench. What was Markanday's goal like?

Not meaning to be that guy again, but judging a players ability on whether they could 'step up'to the first team is pointless as even the best of the best of the best won't break into a top 6's team so it's not a fair assessment on their ability.

Sam could play for our first team. Not sure about the comparisons I've read of him on here but I don't really have a similar player in mind. He is very good, tricky but he is looking stronger which helps.

The thing with Armando is he is more of an all round good player. This season he has really stepped up. After he on the best player at the PL tournament at u14 level I think, which would have been for the 00/01 age group I was really watching him to see how he played but he never quite caught the eye. This year again he isn't 'standing out'but is at the same time. Hard to compare him to Sam. Sam's performances for us at this age group were excellent and got him an England call up, and rightly so, before he stagnated. I think he may have also played some u23s games. Armando won't play any u23s games anytime soon as he is even smaller than Sam and plays CM. He also isn't going to get called up for England as he is in the 00 age group so again would be harsh to judge him on that. I think at the moment Armando is looking very classy if he continues on this trajectory and puts on some wait he'd be more than good enough to play first team level.

He also has the most assists in the u18 PL this year.

Sam has. Armando hasn't and neither has Markanday
