If Poch leaves us, I am sacking off top flight football altogether for a good while. He is the best thing that has happened to this club in 30 years, and he has transformed this club's identity and personality. We cannot afford to lose him.

Apparently we can't afford to keep him - particularly if he keeps demanding that we bring players in during transfer windows. When will the madness end?

Oh give it a rest...he's only a manager. There's been plenty better than him that left clubs and they survived!

Levy to be fair has a hell of a lot to deal with new stadium contacts naming rights NFL etc etc plus fans demands for shiny new toys.

The plan was to progress steadily, develop the training ground and introduce from within, build a stadium and challenge in a stronger position with improved contracts across the board . I feel we are still on track with our strategy but what we can’t legislate for or have control of are other clubs ambitions / finances .

Ohhh I dunno....
- 10th Richest club in the world?
- New stadium (one of the best in the world - that generates more than just football money)
- Best Academy players coming through for the last few years
- Top 4 club the last few years
- A core 11 1st team players that are top class.

Just those off the top of my head...
And No Silverware!!!!!

I still hold that if it is a club built in his own image that he's after, then Spurs is still the best choice for him.
Not if we don't win anything of importance. If it's another blank season he will be gone in the summer and some players will follow him.

I think you over estimate his importance. There seems to be this narrative that we were in the doldrums when he arrived and that he pulled us out of years of mediocrity. And that is plainly not true. We were a very good team when he arrived.

He deserves a massive amount of credit in terms of our league finishes in recent seasons but one cannot ignore the fact that our rivals have been inconsistent in nature and not as strong as they have historically been (although City seem to be surging ahead now) and that has contributed to our success as much, if not more, as our improvement.

I do think Pochettino is the right fit for us at present. But I also have my doubts he'll ever take us any further. And his sheer dismissiveness of the domestic cups and Europa League lead me to think we're unlikely to ever win a trophy under him.

Here's a depressing thought for you. If we don't win a trophy this season it means we have gone through the entire decade without silverware. That'll be the first time that has happened since WW2.

Trophies Won:

1950s - 1
1960s - 5
1970s - 3
1980s - 3
1990s - 2
2000s - 1
2010s - ?

Right now, I'm just wishing that ENIC sell up and any new owner is more open and willing to spending on the team. Levy has proven one again he's only in it for the bottom line. Minimal risk taking and only willing to spend where absolutely necessary. That doesn't suit where we are right now and where Poch is right now.
Sure Conte would be risky. More risky than Poch, but we're heading downhill fast and Levy is going to make the team and Poch feel more negative about the future.
I think this season is done. We just need to baton down the hatches and hope we get into the new stadium next year and salvage our season. Then hopefully we get a fresh owner and manager in to Kickstart us on next season.
Either way now we're heading for a crunch time financially and that'll impact Poch and the team.

Time to cash in on the club and sell up.

Other than our failure in the CL, the weird thing being is if we had 4pts now, how are we going downhill? Salvage our season?

Have I been a sleep and it’s April and we are 7th and it’s impossible to get CL, and we have just lost another FA Cup semi?

To be honest we would be better off not having negative fans like you, your the type of fan that sits through a match and moans about everything not being perfect or when we are 1-0 down instead of getting behind the team just gets on the players backs. I’d rather ENIC stay and you go, because they back the team more than you do, and that’s pretty tough after the summer just gone

I think if Levy balls up Pochettino situation in terms of giving him what he wants etc, they will have problems getting the fans to fill the new stadium. He is the best thin to happen spurs since Bill Nic.

Coming 2nd, 3rd, 4th. are the new Cups. Its hard to cheer,.... the reward/prestige is that now. Pathetic really.
My interest started dropping the day it was no longer possible to wake up on Sat morning and decide to pop down and watch a match.

If fans turn their back on this current side and where the club currently sits, they’ll be the type of fan not really needed.
I dread to think of the type of wanker we’ll attract if we ever do enjoy sustained success, it’s getting bad enough just challenging for stuff.

We’ve all done it, ‘fuck em, I’m not going after that shower of shit last week’, yet we come back. The boys out it right eventually and hey ho, going to the football is actually enjoyable at times!
People who refuse to go because we’re not playing well or because Poch didn’t get whatever signing he wanted are better off staying away imo. The type of div that spends all game moaning about Sissoko etc

Well Poch is going to have to put his money where his mouth his. I can't see Lopetegui surviving this defeat at Real and they will after him very shortly.
5-1 against Barca. Ouch
