No point moaning about it. I'm sure nobody associated with Spurs is happy.
Another couple of months is nothing in the scale of the improvement in facilities it will give once it is usable.

those affected who have bought season tickets have every right to moan. I have and I'm not by the way.

This whole things screws me so much. Get refunded 1/19 of my cheaper ST each match and then charged category A club Wembley prices if I want to go. No goodwill gesture at all. Disgraceful treatment of fans

Levy is basically powering on through relying on our loyalty. And it will work. Takes a thick skin but the man is a rhino.

Wembley isn't giving the club discount though is it? Due to the lack of notice we're able to give Wembley at this moment in time, it won't be prepared to sell tickets at less than premium prices, particularly in the face of declining attendances.

It's not as simple as just giving everyone a discount for the inconvenience. Wages still need to be paid and 50p still needs putting in the meter for the floodlights.

I think that’s a fair point of and the club’s response for next season is important. You’d hope they’ll keep prices the same.

I think next season will still be a novelty, but I can even see price reductions in some sections of the ground being needed if Levy wants to maintain high attendances after that. If we're doing well, playing good football, this probably won't come to pass.

That's a joke mate. I'm embarrassed with that
You all know I’m sworn BSODL but this particular situation is a slap in the face. I’ve been going with my dad my whole life and this year we deliberately reduced our seat quality for the new ground from above the players tunnel to in line with the goal line because it was just too expensive.

Now we’re being given £52 back per match and then being asked to pay up to £95 to have our equivalent seats to last season (rather than the same price to have equivalent to this season’s at the new ground). I get that a) I don’t have to pay it and b) that last season’s seat is always going to cost more each match than this season’s but a) going to spurs is as much about having a chat and interacting with the people around you who you’ve developed relationships with for several decades and b) if they are really going to only refund the 1/19 of this season’s ticket, they should be charging 1/19 of last season’s ticket. If I’m being charged a category A price (1/15th roughly) I should be refunded a category A price too (about £66 ) so that the difference isn’t so disproportionate.

No, but if the club are charging cat A, they should refund Cat A, not refund 1/19th and charge Cat A. I’m not looking for goodwill, I’m looking to be charged at 1/19 of last season’s season ticket if I’m only refunded 1/19 of this season’s season ticket. If I’m only given back £52 on this years admittedly cheaper ticket, I should be charged £78 of last season’s more expensive ticket, not £95. We are being refunded only 1/19 the price but being charge 1/15 the price for the cat A games.

You can only take the piss out of the very loyal and true supporters for a certain amount of time before they realise they have finally had enough

As the average age of our core support is around 45-55 they need to be very careful

Loyal football supporters that spend a lot of money and travel home and away do not grow on trees anymore especially when you can watch virtually every game these days from the comfort of your own home with a nice cup of Coco

This whole saga has been embarrassing at best and will make thousands of supporters (in the next few years) reevaluate what they spend their time and money on, at worst

That’s the thing, I’ve never in my life willingly missed a home match, televised or otherwise, even since I left london and a midweek match meant going to work on 4/5 hours sleep the next day. I don’t blame the club for the delay, I can forgive poor performances and even poor seasons, and I don’t leave early ever. However, this Monday I’m missing the City game, and I’m pretty sure I’ll be selecting which games I go to over the rest of 2018, because this situation of under refunding / over charging on the Category A games is insulting, it’s unconscientious and it is punishing supporters for the mistakes of everyone but the contractors.

I don’t expect goodwill gestures, I do expect fair treatment and that has been completely lacking throughout this situation.

The most completely ridiculous thing about all this, is that if the club had originally said 2 years at Wembley nobody would have batted an eyelid. That would have been totally acceptable and understandable. It’s all completely unnecessary.

But when you look at ssc and see the Anfield forum and trying to work out how to add bits on and realise they will still be discussing that in 10 years. The Chelsea forum which has no posts for weeks. United fans bemoaning the state of old Trafford and Arsenal with a soulless bowl. We are pretty lucky it will absolutely embarrass our rivals.
I might be wrong here, but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere a few years ago that the club's intention or expectation was to spend 2 complete seasons at Wembley and move back home next August. Whether the club made a specific and clear statement to that effect, I wouldn't like to say. There probably wasn't such a definitive statement made publicly, but there you go.

We certainly don’t expect any goodwill gestures but by golly how good would that be and how much more slack would we give the club than we already do!

God forbid they ever gave us any goodwill for the 10/20/30/40/50/60 years money and loyal support we’ve given them

Jeez - the only chance I have to get away from my missus for a few hours and you suggest I give that up also for a cup of cocoa?
