used to stand in the enclosure under the stand, think it used to cost me sixpence (2.5p) as a kidThere is no reason that you would have seen much of that entrance If say for example you always stood/sat in the Paxton and you came from Northumberland Park etc
The only reason we'd walk around the ground was to maybe find a programme or If we needed a ticket then to hunt down a tout as they normally hung around outside the west stand entrance
I used to sit with my dad in the old west stand before they knocked it down for the new shiny one. I remember the crushes when I was little coming out trying to get back out through the gates. My feet didn't touch the ground most of the time!
62,000 leaving the new ground is going to be absolutely nuts!!
I went in the enclosure a couple of times as I remember you had pay to get in. At that time you could walk round to it from anywhere else in the ground though.used to stand in the enclosure under the stand, think it used to cost me sixpence (2.5p) as a kid
Looking at those old pictures it occurred to me that in all the fifty odd years I've been going down the Spurs I've never actually entered the west stand, never walked through that gate(to an actuall match) and never walked up those steps.
It was my first visit to the new stadium/shop today and it looked lovely. It gave me another stark reminder though about the area. In the space of a five minute walk up the high street to Sainsbury’s where I parked I was approached twice for money and someone threw some kinda liquid out of their window (presumably at me). I was with my 3 year old.
yeah should of said I think it was sixpence extra for kids and yeah you could walk all the way round the inside of most of the ground, from the north-west corner of the paxton through the east stand and the shelf round to the south-west corner of the park lane but that was during the sixties and seventies when there were terraces on all three sides and as said the west stand terrace was the enclosureI went in the enclosure a couple of times as I remember you had pay to get in. I'm of the opinion that if we're close to the top when we move to the new stadium, it will be a massive boost and could really propel us forward.Looking at coming fixtures to say mid February. If we win NLD I think there’s every chance we could still be on city/Liverpool tails. We have 8 home fixtures from 12 with United the only “top 6” to play. In that time city have Liverpool Chelsea x2 and Arsenal.
So what happens mid February if the stadium is ready and we are 3 pts off the top.
1. I’d imagine city/Liverpool would kick up an almighty fuss over us moving.
2. Would we actually want to move if in that position. Yes in theory the stadium should be an advantage but you never know it’s still a new environment. With 10 games to go and a shot at the title it’s a bit of a gamble.

What a contradiction. City and Liverpool might kick up an almighty fuss whilst no one knows if moving to a new place could be detrimental?
