City are in a league of their own at the moment, as I think Liverpool will be soon enough.

Ugh, every football fan's worst nightmare. The arrogance of that lot when they've been crap, imagine if they start dominating.

So who out of moura, son, lamela, eriksen or dele would he replace?

He wouldn't replace any one of them. He would add to them. Options...

City are in a league of their own at the moment, as I think Liverpool will be soon enough.

1 - City (no chance of Liverpool catching them)

2 - Liverpool (no chance of catching City/nobody below catching them)

I think like the media and most people, most years, you're exaggerating how good Liverpool are. Almost every single season they're predicted, even by our fans, to finish above us and yet they've done it once in 10 years and that was the season we sacked AVB for being dogshit. And they bottled the title when it was in their hands.

You forgetting ours.

Each and every of the last 4 seasons we haven't bottled finishing above Liverpool, whereas they have often capitulated in the last few games.

Mate I had noticed we got over ours when was this.:)

Last year when in the last few games we passed both Chelsea and Liverpool comfortably in the end.
They'll burn out in the second half of the season, especially if they go a long way in Europe again.

But we finished only one place behind both teams each time.

so we are legends, but never once have we lead the league and blown it big time. your going on 2 semi finals we lost to teams that did better than us in the league so not really bottled it. or does Liverpool leading the league with 2-3 games left with a 5pts lead not mean they are legends, especially since Klopp took over they have played in 3 finals and lost all 3(y)

Mate I never said liverpool were or wasn't I just stated that we have never shifted our tag which we haven't yet and that is the key word so far nothing has changed.

Losing a game or 2 to a team close to you in the league isn't bottling it. It's just something that happens in football all over the world.

We aren't legends, it's just a lazy narrative which is stuck with us. Compare our recent history to Liverpool when they were leading the league in 2013 or the 3 Cup finals they've lost under Klopp...

But you know lazy generalisations, rival fans who try constantly shift the goalposts to to put you down and fucking ridiculous narratives that people buy into tend to shape people's opinions and it just become a thing.

As a Spurs fan you shouldn't be feeding the narrative.

Not being funny mate but do the two semi-final blow outs not constitute that we are not free of that problem.
Surely bottling it is losing when you're expected to win, or blowing a lead...who were our semi final defeats against?

My term of bottling it then are different to yours. In a game of football a 1-0 lead and then losing isn’t bottling unless the other team beat us with 2 goals in the last few minutes. Throwing something away at the death is bottling. V Chelsea we never lead, with Man U it was 1-1 at halftime.

With Leicester title win we only had the chance to go in front on 2 occasions and I think if we had, they played their next fixture after. With Chelsea the closest we ever got was 2pts and again they played straight after.

The term “bottling it” has lost all it’s meaning on social media anyway. It used to mean Newcastle blowing a massive lead at the top of the league to lose the title, or us 3-0 up to 10 man City and contriving to lose, now it just seems to mean losing any important match.

Our opponents were teams we had put to the sword in our respective league games so would not had been a giant killing if we had won mate, we all know how shit our semi-final record is I was there for both of them and was confident in the pub before the game's that we was winning on each occasion close but no cigar.

over the next 6 weeks Liverpool will be using Lovren and like Foyth he has a mistake in him, and 2 of Liverpool's best defenders this season cost them very little Trent Alex-Arnold and Gomez.

they are flying at the moment but a 4-6 week injury to Salah or Mane could damage their run.

Man C will win the league, if Liverpool don't suffer burnout or injuries they will more likely finish 2nd. the same with us if we don't suffer complete burnout or too many more injuries we should finish 3rd.

Arsenal and Chelsea had similar points totals this time last season as they do now, yet we are +8. in fact by the end of December if we only got 4 more points out of 18, we would be dead level with last season, but people are worried because we are not looking as fluent, and understandable but like I said before I think we are trying to manage games to save burnout because of what happened over the summer
Yes city will win the league and I think they can go all the way in the CL too and liverpool to finish 2nd, the last two spots are between 3 teams spurs included.

Agree. But whats even more annoying is the media only seem to throw it at us.
Same as the label of selling players to bigger clubs. Arsenal never get that thrown at them but they've a far worse record than us imo.

Grealish would play cm. Just don't see the point of spending £20m on a player we don't need.

I would say we need an understudy to Eriksen as a matter of priority. Whether someone like Maddison would have been happy with that I don’t know, but we shouldn’t baulk at paying that kind of money if he could have been persuaded.

You might've expected us to win, but I don't think the wider footballing world did...I don't think we were favourites in either one mate.

I think it’s more than that, it seems now anytime we lose any match we are accused of bottling it.
