There really are openings in their defence but I'm not sure we have the capability to exploit them enough. You can see how just one clever forward pass in this match all of a sudden opens up plenty of opportunities but the passing has been safe or unimaginative at times.

It hasn't been bad, we haven't really been tested too much at the back and without a direct error from us they've only had the Coutinho chance really. My worry is that for one, we're one goal away from the match being completely over and two, I'm dreading seeing that Inter have equalised.

He’s also given the ball away a lot. Regardless away at Barca, you take those chances.
Better to have a chance you might score than not get one to begin with. Keep it up and he may well get one second half.

Poch is not Jose and won’t do this and I agree. It would kill his confidence.
Jose has won multiple titles. Granted he’s turned into a lunatic but if a player isn’t performing, he should be taken off, regardless of their age or experience.

For such a depleted side we've not done badly. Created some great chances, only to be fucked by the ref and the grass, of all things, smh.

Son should either have gone down or round the keeper. He opened up his body about half an hour before he shot.
He had Alli back to the right if he'd have drawn the keeper in. Same goes for Kane when he tried to shoot on his left. And Son failing to pick out Rose

We really waste a lot of changes by not being a bit more clever. Yes you can't walk everything into the net but you can give a team mate a cast iron chance instead of trying something hopeful at best

As others have mentioned, we're getting so much space to work with - should be able to score against this lot. Don't trust us to not fuck it up again though :cautious:

Poch put Foyth against Arse and put KWP against Barca - Im all for giving young players a chance but play them against Southampton or even Leicester - not Arse and Barca away

I think KWP has been ok since the yellow card but it is clear theyre targeting our right side

He may have given the ball away but dembele still had a lot to do to finish.

Easy to blame KWP. Yes it was probably his fault but he was well pressurised by Dembele. I think Pochettino is more at fault for such risky set play tactics so early in the game. We've been wide open for counters two or three times from set pieces.

We just needed to be patient not force the issue and more players should have been back. Surely you'd have Sissoko back there as well?

He really looks exhausted and I don't believe that the ankle injury hasn't had a big effect. He's still a great finisher, but he looks like he's just played 90m when we kick off. A 100% Kane bullies defenders and isn't slow, just not fast.
He needs to admit it his form is not the best since a long time. Obviously he still think he is fine pushing himself this way

Pat on the back for kwp. Young lad, unexperiece and makes a big big error but fair play hes not hidden! Most would have gone anonymous after something like that but hes been great since imo.

He's nearly 22. He's no longer a good prospect, he should be starting to fulfil some of his potential. I don't see how he's been great since either, he's being turned inside out every time the ball comes down Barca's left.

Agree - loved that he's not afraid to take the game on. Good mentality.

However his ability to get back when needed is a major concern. especially in a 4 man defence.

Well might as well go for broke soon. Nothing to loose as I don't believe goal difference counts does it
