As long as we get the job done im not fussed...hopefully it just means Poch is going strong against the scum.

Is this down to injuries, resting tired players or just prioritising the cup match?Intriguing lineup nevertheless and sends out a great single to youngsters on our books ... and any we might try to buy in the transfer window

Davies plays CB for Wales. Yes, I know in a back 3 it's different, but at least it's something.

Happy to see Skipp get a start. Blood these youngsters. I have faith in Poch. 3-0 Spurs. COYS

So Burnley who are notorious at crossing the ball and we play Davies at CB? Not really ideal

Hope Skipp has a good game - massive show of confidence in the lad to start him.

Don’t like Davies as a CB against a physical team like Burnley who will chuck high balls into our box.

I love how much Poch cares about the fans, he's taken a game which felt like a dam near certain 3 points and added some excitement to it with the risky Davies at CB play with a 18 year midfielder debut infront of him!

At least it means Poch is taking the more important game seriously. We need a trophy.
Whilst I think you're right, I'm very concerned Vertonghen and Dier may be injured. Very unlikely we'd see Davies at CB and Eyoma on the bench unless both were unavailable. Even if rested, they'd be on the bench.

I don’t mind the line up to be honest. Obviously Vertonghen must of picked up a knock and I’d rather play Davies at CB as he plays there for Wales rather than throwing in a kid.

And delighted for skipp finally getting a chance

Couple that with the stylings of Kieran Trippier at RB. Scary stuff

Me too, we desperately need one of Dier, Vertonghen, Foyth or Sanchez available for NLD. Davies CB in that game will mean we get knocked out.

Pray to god Vertonghen only has a cold or something. Dier not in squad too. Amount of injuries we keep picking up is so frustrating.
Frustrating in part because it's very predictable. We haven't rotated anywhere near enough under Poch given the intensity of our play, number of games, and how many of our team are regular internationals. We seem to have learnt our lesson now but the accumulated fatigue will still have a large impact.

On a positive note though it's great to see Skipp get a start and I'm sure Poch will be clear to the team what the expectations are - the line-up selected is more than enough to win this if they perform at the expected standard.

Exciting gamble. Looking fwd to Skipp having a good game. Saving this team for Wednesday? Maybe a back 5?
