Deary me, page after page of discussing sloping and the trays making balls bounce like off a trampoline... Stick to your day jobs people.
How do you know I’m not a groundsman? :cautious:

So... What shall we do with this thread when the stadium is open. Get a calligrapher in to copy it onto scrolls to stick in a time capsule in @Houdini ‘s basement or just delete it altogether and pretend we always had the stadium?

You need to leave it open @Dougal. We can then talk about snagging issues for the next 3-4 years...:cautious:

Never mind the slope, have you guys seen the white things they hang the nets off? Imagine the state a player would be in if he ran into one of those at pace! They should get rid of them and hang the nets from pieces of string tied to the roof. Although they could be a strangulation hazard. How about inflatable posts? Or posts made from polystyrene?
What’s wrong with jumpers?

All of the pitch surround is hydraulically lifted, so it may be that it just wasn't at full height, would have to assume they've allowed some tolerance in the design to raise it closer to pitch level if required.

Maybe we raise it for our corners and lower it for the opposition.

I was hoping we could just wrap the entire side Inception style so all Eriksen has to do is kick the ball 1 yard straight down onto Kane's head.

What about some Trampolines, make if feel more like Wet Spam stadium!!

At the spam the run off has 8 lanes not even Usan Bolt would over run. With ours it’s downhill and impossible to hurdle by jumping forward and not falling forwards instead of upwards. It’s not that easy to control anything going downwards.

Hope I’m wrong and nothing ever happens, but at a guess those disagreeing can’t see the problem let’s hope they never witness a serious injury caused by it, especially if it’s one of our own.

I do find the food available at the new stadium a little disappointing, no salt beef sandwiches or gefilte fish or chopped liver & onion or chicken soup & matzo dumplings, my life what is the world coming to, I mean pizzas and burgers how lacking in imagination:LOL:

I’m gonna miss the old smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels they used to sell off of a tray in the East Stand.
