Hard to see how Klopp could possibly get more praise than he already gets. The press love affair with Klopp has been well into the pathological for a good while now. The only way he could get more credit is if he were officially named the greatest human being who ever lived.

I would judge a manager by results with respect to what would be the "average" expectation. There are plenty of things to factor in, but if you look across the league and world, basically there is a very high correlation with spending loads of money and doing well. So, Klopp and Pep might be good, great, unbelievable managers, but nevertheless, winning the league is pretty much the expected result when you spend like that. In the case of city, anything but winning a treble is a bit of an under-performance.

The most impressive recent performances are when the results are way, way above what they should be. Like Ranieri winning the Prem (for which he wasn't giving the kind of god treatment Klopp gets for finishing in the top 4 with a vastly more expensive squad), or Moany winning the CL with Porto (for which he gave himself the god treatment)

I guess Klopp isn't on your Christmas gift list. I like the guy. He has some character too him. Same with Mourinho, they add some entertainment value.

A win today would be huge. We can do it and I think we will.

Shame Liverpool have the bit between their teeth, but thy have to falter sometime and we need to be there ready to take advantage.

COYS!

I also think Liverpool will drop points sooner or later. But to catch them we have to assume that we will not do the same. Top 3 seems so strong this season. Games between those teams can be decisive who will win the title.

Oh god, fans and team would be so much more optimistic and confident if we would be playing at home. I would say keep in touch with Liverpool and City till February. If we move to new stadium, then everyone will start to REALLY believe.

Mourinho used to but the last few years he has just become a bitter shadow of his former self.

Indeed. The mind games between him and Ferguson used to be great, he was a breath of fresh air when he came into the league at first but now he's just a grumpy, bitter old man who leaves a trail of destruction at every club he manages.

If we can win the next 4 i think top 4 will be relatively secure. The goons will probably have their spirits broken knowing that despite playing this so called 'god like football' they will still be at least 5points and most probably closer to 10 behind us.

I don't have anything against Klopp, either. Seems to be a decent fellow, and a good manager. It's the over-the-top adulation of him which I find excessive. It's possible to be both very good and overrated. On the other hand, Mourinho sure does seem to be a miserable bugger, rather hard to like.

To think up to now we haven't exactly played that great but kept winning. Today showed just how good we are, two points behind City, six (funny that) off Liverpool and they have Arsenal and City in next three games.

You never know!

We are doing amazingly well, especially away from home. My only worry is that we still have to go to the Etihad, Anfield, and Stamford Bridge, but this is clearly another great opportunity for the team.

I still think Liverpool will be champions and the gap between us will be wider at the end of the season than it is now, but our results this season are consistently pleasantly surprising me, so hopefully my prediction is a load of old toss.

Next 3 games are very winnable but with lack of rest tricky too. If we win those 3 and Liverpool don’t beat City away then we are 100% fully in a title race and I will start getting very hyped.

If the bottom 3 carry on at the same points per game, we're already safe for the 2019-2020 season! I grew up with the relegation fights of the 90's and am still cautious :)

No let’s not. We are better when we are under the radar

True but i think we areon the radar as of today - i knew this would change after today, it has turned from a two horse race to a three horse race now...

Ok lets wait until after christmas and new years to see where we are - ill compromise Zippy
