Oh, and losing your top goal scorer mid-season didn't help either
PS What was that guy's name? He was an A-1 idiot

Yeah, the one with Sean Bean up front right?Does anyone remember the Sheffield United documentary series from around 1990?
Yeah, it was a scripted documentary made into a major motion pictureYeah, the one with Sean Bean up front right?
Don’t tell me. Bean gets killed halfway through the second half...Yeah, the one with Sean Bean up front right?

They’re fans don’t come off well do they. Makes me think about us.
I was just mucking about as a reaction to the Sean Bean film reference. Years ago (nearly 30 I think) there was a TV documentary series on BBC 2 called, I think, 'United we Stand' about Sheffield United's promotion winning season under Dave Bassett. Looking back now on the segments on YouTube, it's incredible how much football has changed in the intervening years. The directors then were all 'local boys made good' and whilst wealthy, nowhere near the wealth of today's owners.Scripted documentary?
Really? How so? Admittedly I haven't watch all of it yet, but so far they just seem like they're desperate and hopeless that the club they love is being thrown down the toilet by a bunch of fuckwits. If anything I'd say the fans are the only ones who come out of the documentary with any credit so far from what I've seen.
Thought the standard of management was pretty poor tbh, even Coleman who everyone was raving about his 'achievements'
It was obvious that the players were still shell-shocked from their PL relegation and they retained a paper-thin confidence all the way to the end of the season
Yet this wasn't addressed by either manager
Thought they'd be more psychological assessment and planning for every single player, to make sure that they were full of confidence and believing that they were world-beaters
I think this is 80% of pro-sports at the top levels. These players obviously have the raw talent to get to the top, but it's the mental resilience under pressure that separates the good from the excellent
3rd thought. I hope the seats in our new stadium are made of material that is resistant to colour-bleaching from sunlight. Those formerly-red-but-now-pink seats in the stands at the Stadium Of Light are a really bad look.
You say that but what would you do being asked to give up £7m knowing that you will literally not have a chance of getting it back? Also, Jack Rodwell is a ****.
Also, Jack Rodwell is a ****.
I would do the same in his position. The **** is the person who gave him that deal
