I was more thinking in terms of the quality on the ball of some of the young English lads. Not really saying he was on par as a full back.

I completely agree. This loss (if it happens.) could mentally fuck them. We do have an outside chance, but I just hate Liverpool ??

I think Sterling has been alright. He set up the Sane goal, set Aguero free there, and has carried the ball well even if he hasn't always had the end product.
