is there any solid reporting that Poch said "no" or is it just speculation because we havent completed the transfer in the 10 hours since this story broke?

I did hope we’d sign him from Anderlecht as I thought he could grow to become a real world beater, Dembele’s heir apparent and all that. He’s young enough to be nurtured by the right coach, still, and the figures being quoted are low, relative to the market. Would be more than happy to see him join us, would be more than a little disappointed to watch him tear it up at Leicester en route to a big money move elsewhere.

Rabiot was the one. Personally don’t see tielmans (sic) coming this month. Don’t see any loans or incomings. Think the reins have been pulled up by Poch. Am I bothered: yes! Am I surprised: no! We’ll carry on as the same til the summer: bummer

If it's loan only I can sort of understand it, and we've probably been strong armed.

Jardim is desperate to re-unite with Adrien Silva to fight relegation.

Leicester are then in a position to say Tielemans or no deal. Surely bigger clubs than us would have shown interest?

Perhaps LFC feel it gives them a shot at getting him in the summer.

Still - like others have said - if we went and slapped £25-30m down, perhaps all these impossible hurdles might magically disappear.

I think we all know this is not happening. Nothing is happening.

The one question I would love to know the answer to is whether this money we have to spend will be carried over to the following window. I mean we supposedly had 100-150 million in the summer. Is that all we are going to have next summer?

Anyone else get the feeling Poch likes a challenge? I’m not saying Tielemans would of been the answer to all of our problems but he certainly ticks a lot of the right boxes, so if Poch turned his nose up at perusing a deal for him (if that even is he case) then you do have to wonder at his rationale. I mean if we get top 4 with no money spent and all these injuries he’s going to look like a cross between Fergie and Jesus which would look great on your CV

Playing devils advocate but maybe he doesn’t want to spend to give him an easy excuse to leave should another job present itself to him? Not saying I believe that to be the case, but you do have to wonder at times

I have no doubt that if we want him, Tielemans would choose us over Leicester. Jardim can want Silva all he likes, but Tielemans has to agree a move to Leicester and will likely hold out until deadline day if he has a whiff that we’re interested. It’s the Toby scenario to us all over again.

That said, I don’t think we’ll sign anyone sadly.
