I think some people on here take Kane for granted. Due to his reputation he's marked tightly in every game, which in turn creates more space for other Spurs players.
He's been Spurs' best player so far this season...closely followed by Son, Toby and Sissoko.

I guess it depends on what criteria you apply. I agree with others that Kane, Son, and Toby have probably put in the best performances.

That being said, the season could have gone completely off the rails had it not been for Sissoko's renaissance and Winks' continued progression. With Dembele and Wanyama having made effectively no contribution and Dier in middling form/out injured himself, those two outperforming expectations has been the key to us staying competitive near the top of the league. That's got to be worth some acknowledgment.

Dembele did make plenty of effective contributions while he was injury free this season. And had it not been for his injury record he'd still be key player for Spurs even based on this season's contribution.

Son. He's stepped up to a level on par with our most important players IMO.

Hard to judge due to the amount of injuries.

Would say Vertonghen as he was consistently excellent up to his injury.

Sissoko had a slow start but is doing his job well now. Most improved player but his early performances rule him out of player of the year to this point.

POTS - Son
YPOTS - Winks
Most improved player - Sissoko
Most consistent player - Toby
This is probably the best way to answer. With so many out injured or coming in as cover it's difficult to make a fair selection. I'd agree with this except I'd say Kane shades it from Son as POTS. If Son had put away or made crucial pass 4 or 5 times then I could argue for him

Player of the season: Son

Having said that, Eriksen is still our most important player. Without him we are a much
less creative outfit.

Hoping that he’ll be back in good shape today. The last three matches has been poor imo

Kane

When have these discussions we have s tendency to pick players based on their levels. This isn't the most improved poll.

Our best player has been Harry Kane

Our most improved players are sissoko, Lucas, lamela and winks

Players who have been way below par are Aurier and tripper

Lloris is reaching those levels unless he fixes up soon

Winks and Sissoko have done a fantastic job in difficult circumstances. Sonny and Kane have been great too. But for me, Toby has been excellent and he shades it. Eriksen has been a bit hit and miss but boy do we look ordinary when he's not at it or not on the pitch.

Never gives the ball away. Superb passing. Amazing pace. Never blames others. Terrific shot. Commanding in the air. It has to be...Trippier.

3 players in contention - Son, Winks, Sissoko
I would personally go for Winks, given what he has to go through last 1.5 years and this season has completely come out of that tough period so well. Now, I can't think of a Spurs CM without Winks. He has contributed so much more than Eriksen this season.

I'm got to say Kane and Son are equally. We expect Kane to score his quota of goals and he delivers as does Son, when he is out Son steps up to the plate when they are both out we struggle. I truly believe if Son hadn't gone to the Asian cup we'd still be in both cups a quite probably two finals.

Man, this is a really tough one.

Most consistent has been Toby.
Most improved is a toss up between Winks and Sissoko
Most important player has been Harry
Most magical has been Son

Lest we forget, Sonny didn’t hit this form until after he returned from duty with South Korea, from the Asian Games. Prior to that he was well below par.

I sorta judge this based on the course of the season... in which case it has to be Toby for me. He’s held our defense together. Been the consummate professional. And played at a high level consistently through the whole season.
