Still far in the future, asking more to understand the process and criteria, but is there the possibility of the new stadium being picked for European finals (as in CL or Europa)?

There’s a nice Symmetry that’s it’s the start of a new era and it’s the U18s that open the stadium. That hopefully a few will shape the new era.

Let the battle with my dad begin.. We are sharing our season ticket. I'll start bigging up the u23 and legend matches for him to go and I'll go to the first League and champions League game

I was due to be out of the country with my wife between 11 and 18 April. Today, the name on my ticket has been changed to my brother in laws name, as I wasn’t willing to risk missing both the first match and a champions league quarter final.

After that, Brighton has better fucking beat Millwall.
Well... I’ve just given up a holiday with my wife for no reason...

For all the back and forth, it's really refreshing to know that the local authorities, PL, Crystal Palace, and Brighton have all seemingly been incredibly generous with this time table. To be able to potentially open on a weeknight in a local derby against Palace is probably not what the local authorities had in mind, but it will be a fantastic match if it happens. And then to be able to guarantee a European night within a week of opening is just beyond my wildest expectation.

It's been a long time coming, but hats off to Levy and the club.

Not just any European night. A Champions League quarter-final. And presuming we're not 4-0 down going into it this time, it's a bigger one than the 2011 Madrid game. For me that makes it our biggest European night since we won the UEFA Cup at White Hart Lane, which isn't even in living memory for many of us.

As a One Hotspur + member with hardly any points to speak of, have I got any chance at all of getting a ticket to the first game?

Barring our final year at WHL with a reduced capacity, tickets for members have been first-come, first-served: loyalty points were only used for away and neutral venue matches. So unless there's a change of policy you'll have the same chance as any other member: it'll be a matter of desperately trying to fight the ticketing server the moment they go on sale.

Fly to Australia for two weeks on the 6th April. Melbourne, Perth, Barrier Reef. Holiday of a lifetime.

FML

Edit - hang on just a cotton picking minute. IF Brighton win their FA Cup then we play them on the 3rd April? First game at NWHL?
Guess you just weren’t willing to make the same sacrifices as I was :p

Probably be a bit harsh sending the wife and kids to Australia without me given a) I'm the Australian b) it's my family and friends they'd be visiting and c) It was my idea.

Having said all that anyone fancy 2 weeks in Australia? First leg of flight is Premium Economy :cautious:

It’s Australia, not Kabul... I’m sure they’d cope. Do it, do what you know is right!

Fantastic news. On a purely selfish level, I hope it’s Crystal Palace first as I am working on the Brighton date and can’t get out of it. I also think under the lights first would be ever so special.

I don’t care who we draw in the CL, any team in the world is going to be quaking in their boots in the tunnel given how NWHL is going to be rocking that night. It’s gonna be spine-tingling.
