Against us, he reminded me of what Lamela looked like when we bought him.
Same sort of age as Mahrez when he went to Leicester and he was worth the punt. Must admit he pissed me off on Wednesday which is always the sign of a good player.Looked incredible against us, but I was surprised to learn that he's 26. Wouldn't want to pay a lot for him because I think there's a fair chance given the type of player that he is that he's just flourishing in his current team under the current manager and might struggle elsewhere. Could see a team going big for him and him flopping hard.
I kind of disagree here. Not a like for like replacement (does such a thing exist?), but if Eriksen were to leave, I can't think of many realistic signings more suited to replacing him than Ziyech.
His final third quality appears to be in the class as Eriksen, I guess it's just a question of whether he has the work rate and consistency.
I kind of disagree here.
Ziyech is nothing like Eriksen. He’s far more of a Marhez style player and plays with much more of a shoot first mentality.
That makes me want to take a showerDanny gives as good as he gets and I'm sure he'd respect that Ziyech has a similar ethic to himself. A combination of Rose and Ziyech on the left side would give opposition teams a nightmare
I mean we literally had two games to see it and that’s what he mostly is. He’s in a team that scores prolifically and he can pick up the assist either through a good play or incidentally and I’d say he’s very much a shoot first style of player despite the assists.I don’t watch him consistently, or at all for that matter, but his stat assists suggest he has more in his locker than just shoot first?
I may have missed something but what type of player is that? Is your assessment based on actual facts or unfounded speculationI think there's a fair chance given the type of player that he is that he's just flourishing in his current team under the current manager and might struggle elsewhere
I am happy to judge my views on this player based on how I saw him playing against us, than your opinion based on the fact that Eredevisie might be poor. I would have him in a heart beatJust a reminder that the Dutch league serves up more duds than diamonds. Let’s not forget Janssen smashed the Eredevisie (31 goals season before he joined us, 2 goals in 31 premier league games for us) and that Tadic has 34 goals this season (his best return in the EPL at Southampton was 7). This lad does look class but let’s keep our fingers crossed.
I personally think that he is ok ‘ish’. Has a very good shot on him, but his distribution can be very suspect. Has a very good engine. This is no ITK! Just STRICTLY my own opinion only! And knowing Ajax they would want over 30m for him (opinion). And I believe we could use that in a safer place.

Fair points. But watching him with the naked eyes I have slight reservations. Wasn’t aware he had 25m release clause.Practically all of his contribution stats (key passes/game, chances created (both open and from set plays) are comparable to the very best in the Premier League (this includes Eriksen, De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva). These are just the peripherals, his actual assists are in a league of their own.

Would be all over this, reminds be of de Bruyne. A great striker of the ball, creative and big and physical enough to handle himself in the PL. However I think he'll be out of our reach now, teams like United, Bayern, Arsenal and Pool will be over him.

I feel that they will pay more in wages and maybe fees to us.Arsenal? Yeah, Arsenal is a bigger club but I don't know if they are more attractive than us right now. If they lose the EL final, I see no reason for him to join them. But yeah, I agree about the others. Man U is not in the CL, but they are still a powerhouse compared to us and Arsenal.

Just a question but what are Dusan Tadic’s stats like?Practically all of his contribution stats (key passes/game, chances created (both open and from set plays) are comparable to the very best in the Premier League (this includes Eriksen, De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva).
