Maybe because that's what he said. Good grief, Lyall (We know you lurk here) is bizarre.
It's stuff like this that outs people as clueless, they have to dress up the words literally coming from his mouth as a scoop.

Sold Mendy so maybe that’s no longer necessary.Wasn’t there something about Lyon wanting a deal done before then, for the balance sheet or some shid?
Ok Mr CorleoneGet it done.
The guy just wants a rest for a week or so. We seem to forget all the softer stuff of moving to another club.
There are so many personal decisions that go into a transfer beyond commerical and professional. I'm not worried at all if this goes on another two weeks as these players need to rest up and enjoy time off.
- New culture to adapt to
- No friends and social community until you've built rapport with team
- Different language
- Family uprooting
- More pressures associated with a bigger team
Get it done.
I refuse to watch any highlight YouTube videos for him (or anyone else we’ve been linked to), unless he signs for us. From what people are saying, he sounds perfect, I’ve just been burnt far too many times in the past!
I think what’s key here is whether or not Poch & Levy have held talks as yet.. these details have been sketchy at best. If we have money to spend, then we would probably take the extra step (more money) to do the deals needed if things had been agreed between them both. It is a bit of a chicken and the egg situation however.
If Poch is even considering leaving, why would we commit such a huge amount on a player that may not be favoured by another manager!? Poch himself said that the fans also need to know what the ambitions of the club are for the future, and as yet we’ve heard nothing new officially, and signed no one.
At the time I accepted that we lost to Liverpool pretty well but as time has ticked on, I’ve felt more and more depressed about it due to the fact that it was a golden opportunity missed. Now it’s time to move on, and we as fans are desperately in need of some positive news to do so.
I’m not sure that the hierarchy quite understand how much the supporters need a morale boost.
Yes. Apparently Aulas said he wanted the deal sorted by the end of June so that it could be included in this year’s accounts.Wasn’t there something about Lyon wanting a deal done before then, for the balance sheet or some shid?

But that was a couple of weeks ago so things may have changed, goalposts moved...
If you watched the interview there is a certain knowing embarrassed smile when he is asked about Tottenham.
He's literally never called anything before anyone else. How much is he getting paid for this shit?Maybe because that's what he said. Good grief, Lyall is bizarre.
To be fair, I think Hazard would've joined us if Chelsea didn't win the CL and subsequently dump us out of the competition the next season, the only time that has happened or ever will happen again. I'm still saltyAlmost identical quotes:

I'm not so sure. A week later he was stating that he was going to Manchester but asked of it would be red or blue and left ppl guessing. He was playing the game, get lots of interest, create a bidding war and drive out those willing to pay the highest salary. To be fair, I think Hazard would've joined us if Chelsea didn't win the CL and subsequently dump us out of the competition the next season, the only time that has happened or ever will happen again.
