I doubt we have. At least not as basic. It would put him on more than anyone at chelsea or byern. Would also make him our joint top earner with kane. Modric is on less.

FWIW Ally Gold also said he believes we've offered a package worth up to 200k pw in order to try and secure Ndombele.

My own onions I expect most of the first XI players who want to stay long term are in line for contract re-ups like Dele and Son got last year to take them into the 100k+ range.

While our lack of transfers hasn't been ideal we do have to remember how much has been pumped into our wage budget to keep the talent we already have. When we sign e.g. Kane up to £200k per week for five years, that's £50m right there. Well worth it obviously, but a large expense nonetheless.

He's on £18k a week at the moment. If we are the only ones that have a bid accepted it would be madness to offer him 10x his current wage. As i said he'd be earning more than anyone at chelsea or byern, more than modric.

I think nothing is happening with other clubs. Lyon were probably hoping for a bidding war to take place but we seem to be the only ones serious about him. I think that's why the other top clubs have been mentioned to the media. They want us to come back with a bigger offer.

Why?
ITK aren’t here to provide the antidote to your anxiety attacks for every time you hear something you don’t like. They report to us the latest news they hear through whatever source they have. If the source isn’t hearing anything, they don’t say anything. This does not mean that nothing is occurring, particularly when we’ve had ITK stating the opposite.

You CHOOSE to believe nothing is happening, possibly in the hope that reality is the exact opposite to what you state...

Or not, and you’re just wilfully negative.

Regardless, you’re assertion that ITK would be on to calm our nerves every time an article has another club expressing an interest is just plain wrong.

The last bit of info we got was that both sides were confident and that was 3 or 4 days ago from a reliable journo. Itk hasnt reported on this transfer for longer than that. There is probably nothing happening with this at the moment. Neither good or bad. It’s just likely not close to a conclusion. Unless an announcement completely out of left field, like Dier a few years ago.

I’m guessing you missed the update by Herc on Thursday ?? About the potential conclusion of Ndombele

Fair point, though again I say that it is dependant on whether the source has received news, or if they are allowed to release it, rather than your assertion that if there was something to report we’d hear it.

It still comes back to what you are choosing to believe.

According to what I’ve read he’s an attacking midfielder who can play on the wing, so no relation to Ndombele at all.

I still think any of the rich clubs can beat our bid but I ask myself would they actually do that for an option B player? The answer I get is no, they wouldn't bother.
With Aulas saying Ndombele will go as soon as his replacement comes in and with his replacement having a medical on Monday I am surprised so many people think it's all gone tits up because it isn't done yet.
