According to information from RMC Sport, Thiago Mendes is close to joining OL. Brazilian midfielder LOSC has reached an agreement with the club lyonnais. The transfer of Tanguy Ndombele to Tottenham is also very advanced.

Thiago Mendes has never been closer to Lyon. According to our information, the Lille player has reached an agreement with OL . Lyon is the priority of the 27-year-old Brazilian midfielder. The agents of the player were this Tuesday at the headquarters of the OL to finalize the contractual discussions.
OL and Lille are currently negotiating. According to several sources, the two clubs are close to reaching an agreement but Lyon must reach the will of the LOSC: 25 million euros (excluding bonus) for the Brazilian midfielder.

Ndombele is getting closer to Tottenham

Tottenham, in contact with the entourage of Tanguy Ndombele for several weeks, decided to take action. According to our information, the English have made an offer around 60 million euros in Lyon in recent hours.
If all parties want to be cautious, Tottenham has clearly taken a step ahead. And Mauricio Pochettino is not for nothing. The Spurs coach has made the French international scene the priority of his summer mercato to replace Moussa Dembele.
Tottenham's bid is in line with OL's expectations, suggesting that the case is now well advanced. Discussions will continue.

Id say JJ is maybe a day or two ahead of the twitter ITK outlets. Hopefully this is the start of changes.

More encouraging than the DiMarzio report is that everything else seems to be lining up in our favor. Lyon is buying/chasing replacements and other clubs seem to have different priorities. *KNOCK ON WOOD*
I also wouldn't under-estimate the allure of playing for Spurs in our new stadium, for one of the best managers in the world, in Champions League, and with the last Golden Boot winner of the World Cup, captain of the French national team... and, uh... Sissoko. Take all of that, and combine that with the strong likelihood that he'd be a starting midfielder, and why wouldn't he choose us over the likes of Juve? Yes, they're fantastic too... but does he have a realistic shot from the outset of being a starting central midfielder for them?
My guess is that is heart has been set on us since the end of the season. Shows just how far we have progressed in the last five years that one of the most sought after players in the world would choose to come to Spurs. Wow.

Hmmm JJ said "When I think it is safe to spill and things are complete I possibly will or it may be out in the press by then anyway." So can we assume that this IS the press that JJ was alluding too? Hope so :)
