I don't believe this to be true for a second. I don't think Poch would stand for it, for a start, and goes against his central idea for the 'new project' - start acting like a big club. Even if it was true, why would Sky Sports know that; it's just 2+2 = 5.

Goes against everything we’ve been told by ITK’s also!

Totally agree with you. That sounds like complete and utter BS to me.

It's also like saying if we'd got knocked out in the group stages we would've given Poch nothing/hardly anything to spend, despite having made no signings for 18 months. I'm sure the CL money has impacted our transfer dealings, but I doubt it's that cut and dry.

But we're already signing Clarke. Besides we don't pay the full amount in one lump sum anyway. We only need to sell to make space in the squad.

*Supposedly* funded by the sale of Dembele.

Goes against what the ITKs have been saying, so pinch of salt needed

So Sky Sports, who regularly pedal that we have no budget or money to spend, suddenly decide we do and it just happens to be the exact fee of a player we are buying. Interesting.

I agree that he will be offered wages much more than he is currently getting at Lyon but I doubt it would be as high as £200K/week unless Levy is planning to increase the wages of some of our more established players to about that level, especially the attack minded players (other than maybe Kane, who’s already on huge wages).

It could have been bonus on top of the standard budget to be fair. In which case that's fine by me! Ndombele looks like the right way to spend it anyway.

Yes it's rather lovely actually. There is a fair bit if hate on social media etc about us potentially getting this done "how can they do it with the stadium?" Etc - I've even seen asks for us to be looked into for breaches of FFP rules lol so if we didnt sell and still made more signings it would feel extra sweet.
