I am now having dreams of GLC, Fernandes, Sessegnon and Bale coming in. Lets do this.
Has anyone? Unless it matches asking price or release clause, I imagine loads of first bids are rejectedHave we ever had a first bid accepted before?
Jimmy Greaves I believe.Have we ever had a first bid accepted before?
A gold on the situation
Thanks for this really helpfulFernandes, Lo Celso, and Eriksen are all similar players in a positional sense with all three having the creative and attacking attributes to be an effective #8 or #10. Whether you view GLC as the Eriksen replacement or Fernandes is simply a matter of choice if those 2 come in and Eriksen leaves. Depending on the formation we ultimately run this season, I can see Fernandes more likely being deployed as a #10 and Lo Celso playing as a creative midfielder especially if we operate with a three man midfield. Both are improvements on CE in a defensive sense.
What's his pace like? Not hugely important for the role, just curious.
VDV went through pretty fast, as did Ryan Nelson.Have we ever had a first bid accepted before?
As a lawyer, I can tell you that neither I nor my clients are all that happy when the opposing party accepts the first offer. It makes me think that I should have asked for more.Have we ever had a first bid accepted before?
Having watched some more vids and match highlights (Barca 2017 in here and the preseason game vs Pool are good starters) I'm certainly more intrigued by him. He certainly has some of Eriksen's key attributes in his locker, such a great crossing in open play and long range shooting. Certainly seems to have good vision for the through ball too. Seems happy taking the ball under pressure and looks for interplays which will suit us if he signs. He's just a player who's looked bang average whenever I've seen him play, mainly for Portugal, but I accept that's not always a fair barometer. Does concern me for £50m plus though. No links other than Utd as far as I can tell either, who supposedly haven't even bid.
What I prefer about Lo Celso is that he seems more tenacious and he's already used to a pressing system. I think he is better at dribbling in tight areas too and he's been playing in a better league. Plus by all accounts his Poch's top target for AM.
That said if Eriksen is off then it may well not end up as a case of either/or!

Probably cause the delegates would need to relay everything back to Levy and then come up with another offer based on that.Dont understand why they cant stay sat around the table pushing notes of paper between them with improved bids until they settle on something they both like.
All this toying and froing suggests it could e close
