Hi, went to my 2nd game in 4 days wednesday (saw blackburn at home) and i gotta saw dawson was better, chimbonda at cb was better, though the header against the bar was his mistake as he shudn't of lost his man.

And Robinson was much better, great to see him back having fun with the crowd (stand up if u hate arsenal lol) and he made a great save. I met his tax adviser in waterloo after the game (seemed like a good chap and had some good comments on him, mite have been pulling my leg)

oh and last thing...could we please stop the damn negativity directed at OUR team, we should support them, im sick of hearing fans slag off our players when certain ones have the ball, support your spurs!

Let’s not jump the gun here or we’ll risk ending up disappointing ourselves. Let’s judge how the players have reacted to Ramos in a few months as one game really can’t be used as an example of change.

I didnt think there was any negativity towards players last night... I expected people to be on bent/robinson's back alot more... but everyone seemed behind the team

The fans that slag off players like Lee and JJ are muppets. Lee is our most consistent player, and JJ is our only driving force. Admittedly he's been out of form recently.

that happens at every single game, with every single club. a percentage of supporters prefer to be pissed off and angry at games. god knows why they go, but it aint gonna go away.

Its the fans who pay the price to see their team perform in money and time, and generally most don't have much of either. So they certainly have the right to either cheer or moan about the team or individuals.

It was only blackpool, and from what I saw on the highlights, we still struggled to keep them at bay, they should have scored 2 had they been a little luckier, so don't go getting carried away just yet.

the highlights showed only our goals and thier chances. michevious as we had many chances and thier keeper pulled off a couple of crackers too. the result was fair... the margin of score was fair but our clean sheet was not fair.

While encouraging, I think Shanks has it spot on. If that header had gone in, instead of hitting the bar, t'would have been a different game. And they did have an alarming number of chances for the team 20th in the league below us.

That said, those sort of chances (they had) have been going in so far this season. So maybe it's our turn to have a bit of fortune. The most encouraging thing is Ramos' lack of fear to change anyone not performing. Still a win is a win is a win - and we're in strong last 8 of the cup now. And confidence must slowly be creeping back.

Up The Spurs!

You are wrong! That cup is as good as ours. 2nd place in the league would be a disappointment.

It completely baffles me why so many spurs fans don't like Lee - at worst he's a competent left back - I think he's better than that - but the stick he gets is bewildering

As for the ridiculous vendetta against JJ from some - well I simply despair about that

all in all, it was a pretty encouraging game.
we appeared to be tighter and a bit more lively at times.

Robbo: a good performance - seems more confident.

Berbatov: way happier and more on the ball. the goals willc ome soon

Keane: as always, the man fights for the ball and gets stuck in. brilliant.

Jenas: crap. utter shite. hopefully Ramos will realise this.

Zokora: did alright at times. needs to learn not to shoot.

Chimbonda: played the CB role well.

Lennon: played really well, starting to show some 'old lennon'. good stuff.

Tainio: came on and did a pretty sound job.

Dawson: Seemed alot more in control. played better after Kaboul was subbed off.

Kaboul: really should be starting as a DM

Bent: pretty mediocre

Defoe: played ok. nothing too special last night

Lee: was given alot of space and proved quite dangerous.

Malbranque: wasn't as good as he usually is, still put in an ok performance.

The main positive I'm guessing from the small part I saw as Robbo's save.
Thats what Robbo is all about, one of the saves of the season if you ask me. Will do his confidence the world of good to make a world class save.
The defense and midfiel still concerns me when defending, but we have a decent run of games in which we should slowly move up the table.

What you haven't mentioned is the fact that left back is not Lee's natural position as he is right footed. He plays right back for his country so I think fans should realise he is actually playing out of position for us, so a bit of tolerance is deserved. On top of that he is not doing a bad job in my opinion as some of our players are playing much worse!

KABOUL SHOULD NEVER START AS A DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER!! why do people persist with this idea... If he really could play there well don't you think one of the fucking coaching staff at Spurs would have suggested it to the manager...
