From Ornstein this morning, bit of a round up but mainly about this guy:
Ajax get 10 per cent on Eriksen fee, Bergwijn close, striker still wanted
Tottenham are still trying to find a suitable striker before the end of the window, as well as being confident of finalising a deal for PSV winger Steven Bergwijn.
Jose Mourinho knows his side need a Plan B without the injured Harry Kane but Daniel Levy is not yet close to a deal for a frontman.
Bergwijn’s arrival is good timing with the departure of Christian Eriksen to Inter Milan expected to be confirmed in the coming days. He went to the Tottenham training ground to collect his belongings yesterday and flies out to Milan today to finalise the deal. With Spurs players on a day off, any goodbyes to his team-mates will have to be done on the phone.
Tottenham held out for the €20 million they wanted at the start of the window, two million of which will go to Ajax.
Bergwijn is a long-term target of Spurs and, at 22, is another step towards them rejuvenating their squad.
Some players might still leave, with Kyle Walker-Peters, Victor Wanyama and Danny Rose open to offers and not needed to be replaced.
