Podcast guests a bit hit and miss but he'll give us a presence at the back for sure

Incorrect, he's 5'7 so won't be of any use as a centre back, I suggest we keep looking.

We began the summer in deep quotas trouble because of Davies & Dier not counting in one or both. Then we signed Doherty who apparently doesnt count in Europa. It blows my mind why we'd do the same thing but it does seem like something right up our alley. We dont make it easy on ourselves, thats for sure.

Where does this doherty non-hg rumour come from. He must be home grown also in europe

My Swansea supporting mates are fuming, blaming Trevor Birch for fucking them over ? he will know that the American overs are desperate and how much it will take to get JR.
Opportunistic? Possibly/probably. But that is a bit of a disservice to the boy.
Big call, but I think he'll be challenging for our starting xi within a year if everything goes through.

What's he like in terms of pace? as that seemed to be most detractors issue with Skriniar.

Know nothing about this guy. Would it not be best to not buy anyone and go again for Skriniar in a later window?

100% agree. I watch a decent amount of Championship football, and he really stood out. I think we would all agree that Ben White could challenge Sanchez right? I put Rodon in that same bracket based on both of their previous seasons, obviously with the caveat of the injuries. He's big, dominant, calm on the ball, and does have pace.

I wouldn't say he's slow, but pace wouldn't be a big asset. In all fairness to.jim, he reads the game so well he doesn't need the pace to get him out of trouble.

Cheers mate, appreciate all the info today.

It's very clear that this website has clearly taken over scouting responsibility for Spurs this summer first with Daka then Reguilon and now this.

Maybe Rodon is the guy to fill in with Foyth being gone and then Skriniar for Toby either in January/next Summer? If that came to fruition, it'd just be Sanchez, Dier, Skriniar, Tanganga and Rodon. It may be a bit bloated still, but I think that's a good group when you consider the versatility of Tanganga and Dier.
