I wouldn’t be surprised to see us start a much stronger team than most are suggesting here. We have 8 days between Sheffield United and Wycombe anyway, and then 4 to Liverpool. Players will be rested for Liverpool whether they play Wycombe or not.

I’d probably go pretty sting, get the game won by half time and remove as many key players as early as possible.

I want to give Kane and Son 45 minutes because we have such a large gap before the Liv game.
Liverpool is three days later! I don't call that a long gap. That selection's purely for your Sun Dream team, just be honest! Mine certainly needs them to play.

Is there any news on if this is even going ahead? Didn’t Wycombe have a COVID outbreak?

Yeah I just feel like sometimes when we have a big break I expect our team to be bang at it and then they look quite lethargic, maybe 30 minutes or something, whatever is the best option for them to be bang at it vs Liverpool, whether it's 45 minutes and being subbed, 20/30 minutes near the end or a complete rest.

You're completely right. 45 minutes will not hurt them at all, but they will probably end up getting time at the end of the game rather than the start. I think Jose will go with Sid up top backed with Lucas and Bale.

Gut instinct says the same team that started VS. Stoke. Championship opp and not a semi so would assume that'd be Mourinho's mindset, so:

Lloris

Davies
Dier
Sanchez
Doherty

Winks
Hojbjerg

Lucas
Alli
Bale

Kane.

Personally, would love to see Vinny get a start over Kane, especially with Liverpool fairly close afterwards (but I think having Kane play both isn't the worst thing ever).

Wouldn't be surprised to see Sissoko start, especially after he didn't feature this weekend.

I'd like Bergwijn to play as I want him to bag a goal and build his confidence up.
I also wouldn't mind Gedson starting somewhere. It would appear as though he will be staying and Dele leaving, so he needs minutes to build form and fitness.
I'm sure I'd read that Devine has been sent back down to the youth set up, and with Clarke and White off on loan, it's going to be a pretty strong squad.

I cannot see the upside in playing Gedson as it is obvious that he has no future with the club .
Rather White played myself as he is one for our future .

No way we play that many second stringers, no way at all.
With Liverpool two days later? And considering the FA Cup allows for 5 subs, it seems like rotation will be critical. I’d be flabbergasted if Kane and Son start this game. Same with Ndombele, Dier, PEH. We also have a back breaking set of games, with limited rest in between. This is the one match where we can afford to at least start with a slightly weakened team. As I doubt anyone who starts on Monday will start on Thursday, unless subbed at HT. Player health must be the priority, otherwise our season will be completely derailed by injury. Yes, not ideal whatsoever. But sadly we've been dealt a shit hand with how they have scheduled our upcoming games.
