The only reason to give a manager time is if you can see where he is trying to go and actual progress in that direction.

As it stands I have literally zero idea what Jose is trying to achieve, what football identity he is trying to instill and consequently what exactly he has to offer off us in the long term.

There is no reason to want to keep Jose other than to protect us from the financial hit it will inevitably cost to ship him out.

It's just a bad patch... we're still on course for a top four finish and a trophy, which was the objective... Putting us top of the league for a couple of weeks proves that Jose is over-delivering! It'll be fine - better now than later!

Even when we were shit and mid table, I still watched us play because we would still try and attack and be entertaining. Now I can't be bothered watching us half the time because it's just so boring.

Pass the ball forward, pass it back to ded nice, pass it sideways, look for a pass... No one, back to Lloris, pass it forward, side ways, side ways, back!

Still trying to process the fact we started with five at the back against 17th place Brighton.

A back five that involves Sissoko and Davies at wing back and crams Sanchez into the side at the expense of a forward. While refusing to play the back-up striker we signed from Benfica who scored a bucket full of goals last season. Against newly promoted relegation fodder.

Whilst we still hang on to players like lamela, sissoko, moura etc then we not going to be winning any league titles in the future.

Because it won't solve anything. The problems at Spurs started years before Mourinho arrived and will persist long after he leaves (whenever that happens to be) unless there is a fundamental change in the whole culture of the club.

If Mourinho is to blame, explain why we played precisely the same way against Brighton tonight as we did against them in October last year, a month before he arrived?

Explain to me why we capitulated to Liverpool once again as we have time and again before Mourinho arrived?

Explain to me why shipping three goals against a side like West Ham was not a surprise as a Spurs fan - we've seen it time and again before Mourinho arrived.

That's why.

so what you are saying is, the fact that he has not improved us is the reason he should be retained ?

just checking

Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho speaking to BBC Sport:"We didn't start well. They could have scored immediately when they hit the post.
"In the first half I felt the team was probably too sad with the goal conceded and the situation. There was a lack of energy. In the last 25, 30 minutes they gave everything but of course with some limitations. We couldn't score but at the same time gave them the chance to counter-attack.
"The boys showed great spirit in the second half and the boys showed they are suffering and they tried to fight against that sadness.
"They tried, so I have nothing negative to say about them. I leave the game with a good feeling about my boys because they tried hard in the second half.
"We tried everything but they defended everything, brought on another centre-back, and it was not possible for us to score."

I'm almost at the point where I'd actually like to see Kane, Son, Ndombele etc. go to clubs where they can actually win something.

We have the players, they are good players. We never ever seem to have the right manager.

I'd agree with you if i could see a game plan. I have no idea what the players are meant to be doing on the pitch and I don't think they do either.
