To all the posters suggesting he wants to leave but it won't happen this summer, just wait and see. He's a goner. This is Gareth Bale all over again.

I for one am quite glad that the lad is showing some ambition.

It's not just probably, I was told by someone (who would know, and I fully believe) that he's pretty much lost all hope of winning major trophies at Spurs. He wants League titles, European trophies.
So have the majority of fans. ENIC do not want to win anything. This club is hopeless at the moment. And nothing is going to change until these clowns sell.

Hardly surprising.

We have a board which doesn’t want to invest in players or shift the dead wood in the squad, a huge collective mentality problem, and a fan base which prioritises intricate passages of play over results.

I’d leave too.

I was watching YouTube compilations of the 2015/16, 2016/17 seasons and we have fallen so far down the table it's joke. We were genuine contenders, a class team and we just didn't kick on.

Our squad hasn’t even changed much since then. Not really.

Hardly surprising.

I honestly think he’s worth at least 200 million to the club. Take Harry Kane out of the team and suddenly all the kids stop buying our shirt. Kane is the only thing keeping us fashionable.

I don’t want him to go. We could be in a relegation fight and wouldn’t want him to go.

I’m a Tottenham fan not a Harry Kane fan.

He's done a Zaha with that contract.

Whatever happens will be on our terms, and it would have to be £150m+ unfortunately for him.

The thing is those who are saying no one will pay what we want, do you think next summer clubs will pay what we want? No... and in fact his value will be lower next summer than this summer

The ONLY way it makes sense to keep him is to really go for the league next season and that means investment - no point in keeping him if we are gonna have a diamond amongst a pile of shite and only go for top four.

Levy needs to convince him one more year and actually invest - essentially youll need to invest the Kane money now...

Of course he wants to leave, come on. He's the best or second-best striker in the world stuck at the 6th or 7th best team in England. The question is will anyone afford him (answer: not this summer in all likelihood), how will his performances be affected, and would he still be determined to go next summer if we've e.g. challenged for the title.
Us challenging for the title? There's more chance of Israel allowing food and medical aid into Palestine!

It's one thing wanting to leave & another actually being allowed to leave. No doubt this will drag on all summer ?
