This is our "Gerrard to Chelsea" moment here - can we ultimately persuade Kane that we can be competitive in the short term with a managerial structure to support this or are we going to succumb to his demands and merely see a case of how much we can tout off our competitors and highest bidder wins because lets be fair, does it matter if it's City or Utd because regardless it's a kick in the bollocks and improves massively our rival.

Such a momentous summer and one that Levy simply has to get right - no ifs or buts here because anything else and it could set us back years both on the pitch and off.

Do we really need to go through why City won’t be reversing a decade worth of transfer policy again?

I think attracting the England Captain would give City the exposure and prestige they crave.

Losing Aguero too. Kane is just the perfect fit for them.

Honestly, if he wants out - the club are better off selling him now.

Otherwise, this just hangs over the squad all season - and it will just make everyone angry over and over again.
Yep because I know I’ll be ecstatic doing cartwheels when Levy gets Frazier Campbell or Rasiak last minute as his replacement.
In seriousness though, we’re in the mess of him wanting to go largely because of the mess we’ve made of transfer windows many years, who in their right mind thinks we’ll be better off without him with the idiots at the top making the decisions the way they have been, Kane leaving is bad news, only silver lining I don’t have to worry about his ankles anymore after he’s played 60 matches on the trot...

What am I missing? Is there more to this than Sky Sports ‘understands’?
Every paper running with the story, a pathetic statement from the club and nothing from Kane denying the story. There's a lot more to this then just sky sports understands

At the end of the day, no player is bigger than the Club - and no player should be held to ransom by a club (and vice versa).

If this is the end of the road for Harry at Spurs then I wish him all the best and hope we have the same trajectory we had after Bale left.
Signing Vlad Chiriches?

Personally I don’t see him leaving this summer however I do think he’s probably unhappy and not convinced we can match his targets. The one thing I do reckon, if we were to sell him now (which I doubt we will) I could ? see Levy bringing in Ings as his replacement.

Yep. This is a watershed moment and Daniel has to get it right. There is simply no other option for ENIC here. They've dug themselves into an enormously deep hole. Joe will have to dip into his wallet, I think. We either invest to improve or sink further & the clubs value nose dives thanks to more toxicity and a stale, uncompetitive side.

Dragon:

Kane has told them he wants to be informed who comes in for him and that he is unhappy with the clubs direction and lack of ambition

he has not handed a transfer request and will not cause a fuss but things are simmering

this summer is massive for levy as next year Kane will only have two years left and then he holds the cards
So we can all calm the fuck down about this summer but a bad choice of manager and a poor next season and he's off.

Fair enough.

He played in a champions league final and was in a title race. So yes, we can.

We even played him unfit and left the person who banged a hat trick in the semi final on the bench just to get him in the team because we've allowed him to become bigger than the club ffs. He doesn't make the decisions, I'm not blaming him for this but everybody in charge of making decisions be it board or management have made him bigger than the club.
