This is our "Gerrard to Chelsea" moment here - can we ultimately persuade Kane that we can be competitive in the short term with a managerial structure to support this or are we going to succumb to his demands and merely see a case of how much we can tout off our competitors and highest bidder wins because lets be fair, does it matter if it's City or Utd because regardless it's a kick in the bollocks and improves massively our rival.

Such a momentous summer and one that Levy simply has to get right - no ifs or buts here because anything else and it could set us back years both on the pitch and off.

Gerard had won stuff before he put the transfer request in. I know what you mean but why would Harry actually stay here, it will just be more of the same from Levy and ENIC. I want him to stay but i wouldnt be angry at him for going.

Are we still at bed-wetting stage in here? Or will we move on with some reality-based facts? Like no football club having any income for 12+ months. Like him having a 3 years to run on his deal.

And - and I can’t stress this enough - that it’s almost certainly entirely made up by drunk agents on their first day back in the pub.

But how competitive is competitive, we compete top six as a rule with top four the ceiling.
So if your star player is saying he wants to win leagues etc then you know it isn't happening at Spurs.
Unfortunately this is the icing on the cake in the terminal decline of the club with the chairman adamant that success is what we all want.

If that Simon Stone tweet is true, it's baffling that the club have said anything at all about it.

I don't see Harry going anywhere this Summer, least of all a Prem club. The money would have to be insane.

So we can all calm the fuck down about this summer but a bad choice of manager and a poor next season and he's off.

Fair enough.

Kane has been one of the best we’ve ever had. It’s such a shame he hasn’t had that one big defining game for us that we will all remember. He has never had the Lucas Moura moment (maybe arsenal goal/mask), or scored a winning cup final goal. He’s performed to such a high standard for us, but never when it really really mattered. 3 finals - no goals. Not putting him down at all, just a shame there won’t be one game we’ll all cherish where he lead us to glory.

I know people want to think this isn't true, but being realistic, why would one of, if not THE best striker in the world, want to stay at Spurs at the moment?

Through our own failings, he's much better than us right now. And our big throw of the dice was bringing in Jose and that backfired hugely.

If I was Harry I'd leave.

Any chance Kane knows whos coming in as manager and thought im not sticking around for this
i feel its more like Jose's appointment was seen as the last chance for him to win something here. As soon as that ended his mind was made up. He's been giving non committal "trophy" interviews for a couple of months now

That Tanguy Instagram post with the egg timers.
...so obvious
You really think Kane is confiding his career ambitions in Ndombele?
I think attracting the England Captain would give City the exposure and prestige they crave.

Losing Aguero too. Kane is just the perfect fit for them.
How’d the last word class all round number 9 signed to play under Guardiola fare?

I don’t believe, based on hard facts of how they’ve always conducted their transfer business, that Manchester City are breaking their transfer record by £80-£90m to sign a player tee we
Every paper running with the story, a pathetic statement from the club and nothing from Kane denying the story. There's a lot more to this then just sky sports understands
to deny is to dignify

Didn’t win anything with him

Aint going to win anything without him

What’s the fuss about
For me it is how we replace his goals. We need more goals around the team which means a change of personnel in the squad. That is not easy. Without his goals or a portion of them we will be mid table.

Our best player in decades is unhappy and that's acceptable?
