I know people want to think this isn't true, but being realistic, why would one of, if not THE best striker in the world, want to stay at Spurs at the moment?

Through our own failings, he's much better than us right now. And our big throw of the dice was bringing in Jose and that backfired hugely.

If I was Harry I'd leave.
Fortunately we have Mr Levy who will hold him for next season.

If that Simon Stone tweet is true, it's baffling that the club have said anything at all about it.

I don't see Harry going anywhere this Summer, least of all a Prem club. The money would have to be insane.

Only Abramovich would offer insane money

Of course he wants to leave! He'd be absolutely mental to want to stay. We need a total rebuild of the squad, management structure, recruitment. The entire club is a total shambles. Even if everything goes well (which it probably won't) it'll be a few years before we're competing for serious trophies - why on earth would the world's best striker want to waste the rest of his career on Daniel Levy and Hitchen haggling for bargains and hoping another Poch miracle happens.

Our best player in decades is unhappy and that's acceptable?
It's up to the club to hire a manager and build a squad good enough to keep our best players from wanting to leave. For three years the club has failed to recruit well enough and they have one summer and season to show the star player they can do it.

As long as Dragon's info is right and Kane doesn't kick up a fuss then I have no problem with Kane. It sucks, but that's on the higher ups.

There is no statement anywhere on the OS
Who said there was? Twitter isn't the only means the club has to say something. It's bad enough that they've said something to a journo who's managed to get a question in somehow but to put a tweet out saying what Stone said they said would be hilariously embarrassing.

If Kane goes I think we should replace him with Graham Potter. His xG looks good.

Edit: Even I’m disappointed I posted this.

My point is not that it’s untrue, it’s that if it is true it is fluke on sky’s part and that they have as much access to Kane’s career aspirations as the family of hedgehogs in my garden.

And if it is true, and he does want out, he needs a lot of unlikely things to fall his way to get a move before next summer anyway.

Sorry to be a pity party pooper.

The reality is whether it’s this summer or next it makes little difference

I agree with this and I think this is why no sensible fan should begrudge Kane's move.

Our club can't even convince us fans that they want better than mid-table mediocrity on the pitch,

They would have a harder time convincing Kane.

Disagree mate. He doesn’t seem the sort to rock the boat now. As Ali Gold said, he’s probably not enamoured with everything at the moment, but I don’t think he’d instruct an agent (knowing full well it would leak) or do anything himself to make a headline about what will obviously be a heart-wrenching move for him at some point.

I just don’t think the stories are accurate - the underlying sentiment might have some truth to it.

But from being concerned about the situation to actually leaving is a big step and isn’t one for this Summer in my opinion.

It makes a massive difference a new managers job would be made a hell of a lot easier if he has a fit and motivated Harry Kane. then after a year we can sell Kane when we are hopefully in a more settled position or maybe just maybe the new manager isn't a has been trying to maniacally cling on to his old glory by alienating our most talented players and parking the bus as soon as we score even though defence is our weakness and we maybe play well enough to persuade him he can win things here still which claiming he cant by the way is madness he's played in 3 cup finals and not scored in any of them. If you want to win turn up on the big day don't go running off so someone else can win it for you.

This is our "Gerrard to Chelsea" moment here - can we ultimately persuade Kane that we can be competitive in the short term with a managerial structure to support this or are we going to succumb to his demands and merely see a case of how much we can tout off our competitors and highest bidder wins because lets be fair, does it matter if it's City or Utd because regardless it's a kick in the bollocks and improves massively our rival.

Such a momentous summer and one that Levy simply has to get right - no ifs or buts here because anything else and it could set us back years both on the pitch and off.

I thought the rumour that Gerrard didn’t go to Chelsea was because he quite liked his kneecaps?

It’s all a bit weird if you ask me. Something is up and all I can think is it has something to do with who the new manager is and Kane not being happy about it, so he wants out.
Thought it would be every English players dream to play under Steve Bruce
