I can’t help but feel that he might actually have realised what needs to be done. One thing he isn’t is stupid.
Maybe I’m being optimistic, let’s see what the summer brings. I’m happy he’s says that there will be squad investment, that wasn’t caveated.
I also reckon that, with the timing of this Paratici announcement and this video of Levy, the manager announcement can’t be ages away.

The summer is bringing more heartache. He is quite clearly selling Kane. He is hiring a manager for cheap & surrounding him with yes men to save money. Talking about FFP when it's essentially gone now. They arent investing into the squad when they should and could. They are so worried about doing a Leeds when the fact of the matter is, it would be 100% their own fault as they have saddled us with £1bn debt all because they refused to invest. That was an incredible amount of bullshit.

I almost get the impression that the issue has been that he’s so desperate to get his cake and eat it, have it right from every angle, that he’s been unable to settle on anything as he wants every box ticked which just isn’t possible. The sort of thing I tell my clients to stop doing when they’re passing over good options in hope that the perfect hire exists.
In short, it looks like he’s taken a leaf out of Pochettino’s book.

There is not much Daniel can say right now that will make fans happy, he has been screwing up all over the place. However if he keeps his word and stays away from the football side and lets our general manager or whatever Patrici’s title is get on with it I guess it will be a start but actions speak louder than words.
He is going to be disliked badly at least for a while but fans are fickle, if he does well for 2-3 seasons coming up he can turn things back around to some degree but it’s will be a lot of work.

It doesn’t matter what he says because the trust is broken. Nobody can believe a word he says. The subtext from that interview was “nothing is gonna change” and when stuff inevitably goes tits up blame Paratici not me.
