Do you really think his brother isn't doing this with his blessing? And to push him to a club that buys trophies with blood money rather than win them with "his club"? If he really cared about Spurs, winning here would be the ultimate prize. What makes you more of a legend than leading your club to the promised land? To leave and go somewhere for a guaranteed trophy to pad your resume because you think you "deserve" trophies? Sorry but at this point Sonny deserves the "one of our own" chant more than Harry.

And if I put my tinfoil hat on, he had that interview leak early so we wouldn't make champions league so it would be easier for him to be sold (or so he thought).
Hi
are you meaning the interview with Neville or another one?

I was so wrong to think he should be given the role of captain in the new season and build the team around him. The way he conducted himself in having an interview with Neville before the season even fucking end and all these leaking of interests and stories without him clearing a single word, I should have known. Oh well, if he's of captain material we could have won the CL or maybe the League Cup. Yet seemingly in his opinion, its all due to us not having the mentality and ambitions.

Pfft.

Pre-spend the money (or 100m or so) and force him to do another year.

City won’t have a free run at him next year as it’s been reported that United will be in so we’ll still get the 100m that City are offering now.

He could win 10 titles at City and all of them would amount to less than one at Spurs.

He would stay if we have a shot at winning the title or even challenging

We are miles away from doing that

He havent got the time to hang around for another 5 year plan

If he stays at spurs for his whole career and breaks every record he’ll have a statue outside the ground. If he goes to city and wins a few titles he’ll be thought of fondly in the same way dzeko is, if he wants to go, let him, I’ve always loved Harry but the way he’s trying to force his way out publicly shows no respect for the club
Nailed it

his "we just didn't have the mentality, we weren't men" argument makes me seethe, because a) the best run this club's had in my lifetime happened with him on the sidelines and b) he's played in four finals for club/country, scoring 0 times.

My two cents..... I dont see how the Kane situation has changed.

For months now its been kinda obvious that he feels he needs to move to win trophies and he wants to do that. We've also known that Levy is going to want at least 150m if not more and I havent seen anything to suggest that City would consider getting near that figure.

Surely if any progress was being made with this then old mate Charlie wouldn't need to keep putting rumours out in the press. I feel he is leaking stories because no talks are happening and neither side seems particularly motivated to find a solution.

I also think City waiting until now to go for Grealish indicates they were waiting to see if the Kane asking price came down and because it hasnt they are pulling the trigger on the Grealish deal instead rather than as well.

He wont win one here tho. ?‍♂️

Imagine watching his england mates like walker stones henderson stirling mcgiure foden mount winning multiple trophies while he is their skippet with a big fat zero in the cabinet

It’s actually really quite sickening seeing one team steal the heartbeat of two by taking their best players. You just don’t see that happen and that’s why city are an absolute cancer on football. Villa will be no doubt ruined without Jack and we will struggle without Kane. Also both players are products of their youth academy as well.

It's going to hurt like hell seeing him play for another team, same happened with Kyle Walker watching him play for City was gut wrenching.

Having said that our hierarchy are FULLY to blame for this mess. From the moment Poch became manager no wait the season before already we knew we had a world class talent. We should have invested better in the squad. So this move happening is purely on the club.... if we were winning trophies challenging for titles he'd likely have stayed until retirement...we've regressed and that's the price we will pay.

So no I'm not going to turn on Harry Kane....he is doing what's best for his legacy in football. My only hope is that we invest WISELY so that we get back into the top 4. Not only get back in but start to challenge like we did under Poch and actually win stuff.

Winning trophies with a soulless club that has a bottomless pit of money is best for his legacy? I don’t think so. He took the easy way out that’s all.

Money has unfortunately done that. It can't be right if a team can spend £250 million pounds on 2 players....there is no way the league will ever be equal.....ever !!! Look at that Spending spree Chelsea went on. They guarantee themselves positions and titles.

Yeah that's his only option though....if we were competing winning he'd stay with us....he warned us about this 4 plus years ago and repeated it on numerous occasions. It's THFC hierarchy who have got us to this point not Harry Kane.

If he's going, get it over and done with already.

Give us Jesus and Laporte + £100m. I'd hope we then try and get Vlahovic and creative cm - maybe Milinkovic-Savic or Aouar.
