Thinking about it, Kane really is in a weak position. What happens if Levy just blanks him? Just get the admin dept. to send him formal letters (fines) and no one at the club talks about him other than to say ‘he’s a Tottenham player and he is under contract for three more years‘. And if Levy won’t speak to them, at some point Man City will walk away. I’d love it if when Kane finally turns up for preseason he is treated like a squad player. And if he asks to speak with Levy he’s told to make an appointment, and then the first date given is well into September. Then at that meeting Levy tells him that his behaviour (the Neville interview, the press leaks, turning up late for training etc.) has really offended Joe Lewis and that Kane will need to speak with him. And then Charlie tries unsuccessfully to get time with Joe Lewis, who is on the other side of the world convalescing. And when he speaks with Nuno he’s told that the new regime is a clean slate for everyone and the team will be picked on fitness and merit, and then he’s not selected for the first few games. Any tardiness or controversy and he’s fined another two weeks wages. And then he’s left out of the next England squad as he’s not match fit. At what point will he think to himself … ‘I’ve fucked this up’. Please Joe and Daniel - make this happen!

It’s exactly how players that act like he has should be treated. Can’t see it happening unfortunately though.

Pretty ridiculous to buy a player back for that sort of price that you already had a few years ago.
Maybe Chelsea know their bid will be rejected and they're fucking over City so they can't get Kane for anything less than 160m.

I never actually minded City all that much, I always saw them as a preferable option over Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and even United to win things, but if this move goes through then I hope they win absolutely fuck all. If we manage to win something in that time, perfection.

Chelsea indirectly helping Spurs by establishing Kane’s value is welcome in my books.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if Chelsea don't actually want Lukaku but are just top trolling the fuck out of City by putting this bid in to push the Kane price out of their reach?

I wouldn't mind them as much if they came in with a respectable transfer approach, but this feels like Bill Gates knocking on the door and offering half the value for your house, whilst offering the neighbour full value for theirs. It's an insult really.

If this move goes through I want City to win the CL but Kane to be on the bench for the whole match. Yes I’m that petty.

Chelsea paying £110m for Lukaku surely proves that the £100m offered by City is no where near enough (not that it needed proving).

Inter are more keen sellers and play in an different league. Kane comes with various premiums over that, PL 'rival', England Captain, PL golden boot holder and the Levy premium. That definitely pushes it up to the £150-160m region IMO.

Kane has no right to complain about us rejecting that £100m offer.

Some of Charlie Kane's ancestors also giving "expert" advice to famous people :

To the Captain of the Titanic "Left a bit, left a bit, whoa, MY left !"

To George Custer "They're singing and dancing over there tonight. Everything's fine"

(Come on, I'm sure you can think of some more) (y)

Yep I like it. Something like Bale-Real Madrid scenario. Not giving him a game time so he wouldn't even be fit for the international matches.
Doubt it can happen though. But definitely would be quite a statement

As has been said, Chelsea inadvertently doing Spurs a massive favour by giving a clear indication of current top striker values as far as they are concerned. Could be a huge leverage help if discussions do continue with City.
