I've processed and accepted the thought of selling Kane over the last couple of weeks to the point that if it doesn't happen I think the window will be somewhat of an anti-climax for me.

In an ideal world Man City keep getting pushed back by Levy to the point that they are no longer interested (if they ever truly were). Madrid go balls deep in Mbappe which causes PSG to get on the phone to Levy. Weighing up the options of either playing in a dead league or facing the shame of walking out again at WHL to 60k previously adoring fans, Kane agrees to fuck off to Paris in exchange for most of the Mbappe money.

I think Kane is too selfish to go to PSG.

He wants a trophy, and he wants to set the PL scoring record.

Harry and Charlie definitely the type of brothers who built their own bunk beds to make room for activities.

This honestly is what I don't get about the desire to go to City to "win trophies." Honestly, who cares about winning a trophy at a team that could afford to spend 250 mil on him and Grealish? He can go to Bayern and win a bunch of trophies too, but how is that some sort of life sustaining accomplishment? Not to switch sports, but talk to Giannis or Lebron - the championships they won in Milwaukee and Cleveland were worth 10 championships on teams that always flash the cash.

Charlie, you amateur. Who doesn’t put this clause in, in this day and age?

Not including Grealish, Pep has spent over €900m during his time at City. It's an absolute farce.

Wasn't Coutinho around £130m?
Only because Barca had 200m so every target shot up in price. The trouble is the clause was activated so they couldn't get a deal done first before selling Neymar. That's why I don't think we should include buy out clauses.

The weird thing is about City, despite them completely dominating the league at times and spending insane money, they always somehow still look like they're a couple of players short.

They're likely to go into the season with their only striking options as Jesus and Ferran Torres (who is barely a striker anyway). How the fuck is that even possible after such crazy expenditure?

Then a few years back they started the season with like 3 first team CBs including Kompany who was perma-crocked and, surprise surprise, it completely fucked their season.

They're stacked with talent but their team building is downright odd at times for a club using the infinite money cheat code.

Grealish will spend half the season on the bench.

Which is why I really don't understand the Grealish signing. Sure, he's good, but he's not that good. They have a plethora of midfielders of similar quality as it is.
