Did Kane show up today or still on strike? (havent had chance to read news all day so im actually wondering)
No. The last thing I heard was that he's due back at the weekend but I haven't seen a specific day reported.

We will play arsenal on Sunday so Saturday back in training would make sense if he wants to come back this week.

We need to put prejudice aside and try to move on and hope matters are resolved very quickly. I want Kane to leave but I can't do anything about it and am certainly not going to hate him because he is acting a dickhead.

My last job I was promise a lot and they delivered little. I walked out. They went mad but I was right to f*** them over. I suffered some mental trauma from it because its not me to do this-they were out of order. We mustn't underestimate the mental trauma an individual can go through when backed into a corner. Im not excusing Kane but we mustn't lose the fact that he may not be thinking clearly and its got out of control.

Grealish will spend half the season on the bench.

Given they'll be 'fighting on all fronts' or whatever, wouldn't that mean he'd still end up playing pretty much the same number of games as he did for Villa?

Not to take it too far off topic of Kane here but if they're paying 100mil for Grealish who isn't gonna start every game for 'em, why did they think 100mil for Harry would be enough when he's likely gonna be starting 80%+ games for them when fit?

That’s why you employ a really experienced and savvy agent for you - oh, wait a minute, eek!

A single journalist characterizing the deal that way doesn’t make it so. Southampton, recall, had made fools of themselves throughout the negotiations and were attempting to save face. Dan Sheldon, a local Southampton reporter, characterized it as a part exchange early on in negotiations. As the deal dragged on, it was only ever a question of how much money on top of KWP we'd have to pay in order to get it across the line, and it's hardly a coincidence that the two were announced on consecutive days. I'm sure that as a technical matter it involved two sales contracts rather than one, but anyone who paid attention to the negotiations as they played out knows without any scintilla of doubt that the two were connected to one another.

As this all relates to Kane, it's at least within the realm of possibility that an eventual agreement could be reached involving a player or two coming our way. We're actively in the market for another CB and Laporte is stuck on City's bench. If we sell Winks and Sissoko we've had ITK that we'll be in the market for a CM and Bernardo wants out of the club. It's certainly at least worth discussing.

There are eleven separate MSM reports stating the "transfer" of him to Saints, including all the red tops, i just didn't want to copy and paste all of them in here.

You believe whatever you want, but it was even reported by ITK in here regarding the transfer, and nothing whatsoever to do with a "part exchange" with Pierre.

Use Google it really can be your best friend.

Im not sure its as simple as that. Kane feels Tottenham have let hime down and he is protesting.
A competent agent would have him out of the club already. Firstly, by approaching everything since the Neville interview with a bit more nous and, more importantly, forcing the inclusion of clauses in his contract (or making it shorter than 6 years).

How do you define legend anyway??

Kane has behaved like a total shit these last few days, but he is the second highest goalscorer in the the 139 year history of the club, and he came from our academy. Whatever has happened this week and however this plays out his name will be right there when the history of this club is being written. Which makes his behaviour this week all the more upsetting.

It's something at the four corners of a table top?

100m - 130m is peanuts for him in today’s market, especially coming off a remarkable season where he should’ve won Premier League POTY. Players who are coming off the season he’s had in the Premier League usually break transfer records (a la Bale).

Goals and Assists clearly aren’t everything, but there’s no way he’s worth around the same as Jack Grealish who has scored 14G and 16A in the Premier League in his career (versus Kane’s 23G and 14A just last season). He also has a worst injury record than Kane and plays for a side that nearly got relegated last season (versus Spurs who just a few seasons ago knocked City out of the Champions League).

Even James Maddison is being quoted for 70m, a player who doesn’t make the England squad.

The package should be around £200m IMO given there are 3 years left on his contract, and that’s what I’m expecting Levy to hold to. Hazard went for £100m when he could sign a precontract in 6 months.

Ought to be a banner at the first home game that..

I think some people saying we should sell Kane for 150M totally underestimate how valuable he is to us

His value to us isn't just his goals/assists on the pitch - it's off it. Sponsors, global viewership and, by extension, commercial revenue will - in part - be driven by his profile, due the press and attention he has

He is England's Captain, World Cup Golden Boot Winner, England's Joint Highest Tournament scorer, and - potentially - the highest scoring forward to play in the PL if he stays fit over the next four years (24 goals a year..).

The mooted 130M bid from City, or the 150 - 160M discussed by some on here is nowhere near his worth to us - or his actual value purely on football merits.

Combine those two and I can't see us selling for anything less than 200M+

Exactly. It’s unbelievable. We’ve got England’s talisman being compared in value to Grealish who didn’t start in the majority of England’s matches in the Euros. Grealish a good player, but considering all factors valuing him similarly to Kane is a fucking joke. Especially in a domestic transfer.

For the sake of clarity do you think Kane will come out and confirm the exact nature of the Gentleman’s agreement because if he does’nt he has’nt got a leg to stand on.

No, because I can't imagine after the last couple of days he'd like to damage what's left of his relationship with the club anymore than he already has done. I'd imagine from this point onwards all talking/acting will happen behind closed doors.

Already bored of this. Just tell them they have til Monday to stump up the full asking price in cash or no deal. Then Kane can go be a knob to City til they pay his apparant "ransom"

My full expectation now is that City won't pay up, and he'll be staying until next summer at the least.

Potentially going to have a big impact on him and us while he (potentially) sulks for the next season.

Would be nice if it fired him up and he was angry at City rather than the club, but I don't think that's on the agenda.
