I would have worded that slightly different - had I been Kane's publicist:

Instead of referring to Spurs as the "club", he should have said "our club" - to reinforce the notion that he still wants to be part of it.

Bloody hell took him long enough to comment. If he had come out with that the day the speculation started about him missing training i would have thought him genuine. Not today

I'm sure the comments hurt Harry, but come on lad. You could have put out a statement earlier re returning to training or something.

If it's true that the club were prepared to fine him it means he was meant to report back and refused to do so, which makes his statement a lie.
