Having just seen the disgusting side note that has been added to a certain post and received so many positive messages from other members in here i've realised you are quite right.
I'm not going to allow a few people to deprive me of the immense pleasure I get from sharing banter in here with my fellow Spurs supporters. Especially during such a time of massive change and genuine positivity within the club and in this forum.
Thanks to all who contacted me.

Fuck 'em all dude. You're a good guy, that much is clear by the tone of your posts, and I for one love your positivity. We need more like you on here.

There are people who will neg you just because they know it gets to you unfortunately, so just let negs slide off. Don't give them a second thought.

Thank you for that. The response I have had via private messages and posts such as yours has been slightly overwhelming but most appreciated. I'll try and be a bit more thick skinned from now on and take advantage of the 'ignore' option.

He has been with us for 37 days and has signed four new players, averaging one for every 9 days of tenure (allow him one day off to sort his desk out). We have 25 days of window left so to maintain his impressive stats we need another 3 more. ;)
He’s been so busy, probably had to take an hour off on Friday to fill in his timesheets.

It will be intriguing to see which other centre back we target if paratici does want to bring one in next. We haven’t been linked with loads. from A Gold’s Q&A:

What position do you think Spurs and Paratici will prioritise next after Romero?"

Alasdair says:
"As I understand it, the priority next, after Romero, is another centre-back and then a right-back before looking further up the pitch."

Tomiyasu will be the RB I think so as you say, will be interesting to see who the CB is.

Personally, I think the Fiorentina captain and CB Pezzella would be a cracking purchase. He partnered Romero in some of the Copa America games (including the final) and crucially his contract is up at the end of the season.

I guess we'll see.

The only issues I see with consistently targeting Serie A players is the homegrown quota.

If we are replacing Sanchez and Sissoko, we are ok.

But we need Hitchin, Pleat and Paratici to be looking for more home grown players.

Agree. I think generally we’re replacing foreign players with other foreign players.

Lamela replaced by Gil
Toby replaced by Romero
Gazzaniga replaced by Gollini
Aurier to be replaced by Tomiyasu
Foyth has left
Sanchez likely to leave
Sissoko likely to leave
Even Dier counts as foreign

Home grown is not really an issue for us, plus we’ve welcomed home grown Skipp and Sessegnon back into the first team squad. And in Devine, Scarlett, White etc. we do have some home grown talent coming out of the academy.

Starts becoming an issue if Winks, Dele, Kane all leave.

The current senior squad is 13 NHG and 11 HG.
Leaving one space free
(Skipp, Sess, Gil all U21)
So even if we sold, say, Dier/Winks/CCV, we can replace with NHG (up to 17)

I do think we need an experienced CB to lead the Defense. Expecting Romero to come into a new league at 23 and be partnered by Rodon, who is even less experienced, would be risky. Maybe a ‘Naybet’ style purchase for a season to play alongside Romero and Rodon for the next two years will work?
