Any deal with City at this late stage must include Gabriel Jesus. I realise that he is levels below Kane but he is at least a league proven, recognised striker, of which we would have none, with 7 days until the 1st game.
I’m not saying he’s to be our 1st choice striker for the foreseeable, but it at least buys us time whilst a suitable one is identified, which, given the chance of this scenario happening and the gentleman’s agreement (lol), one should really already have been.

I don’t think booing him is the way forward, if all supporters gave him the silent treatment it’d confuse the hell out of him and in my mind is an even stronger message to him as to how us supporters feel about him at the moment.

I don't believe booing our own players inside the stadium ever has the desired effect because it affects all the other players too. Kane will be more than aware of the strength and depth of the fans feelings about how he's handled himself in all this, without having to boo him on the pitch as well, although I'm sure there's going to be a minority of people who disagree and will boo him anyway whenever he plays for us again.

Of course booing our own players on the pitch also gives the opposing team a massive lift too, so it's a pretty stupid idea all round.

Silva is a really tidy player but overrated imho

We have gaping holes to fill and where he plays is not one of them- don’t want him involved in the deal

Laporte duly sweetened by them and Jesus plus enough to buy Vlahovic or Martinez and a good RB would do me

no way Laporte has a buyer in Spain this summer

Thought I’d check on City’s England players and surprise surprise none them have returned to pre-season training yet. Strange how there are no media stories about them disrespecting the club or fans

Also as side note it looks like they may have a seriously weakened team too for our first game (LINK)

City's season finished later than ours as they played in the champions League final. It stands to reason they'd get more time off. Regardless of that though they obviously have city's permission to be away while Kane doesn't have our permission.

Silva child is still ill, he wants a return to Spain

Not sure why some post from a supposed ITK on Blue Moon has convinced everyone on here that Kane is going and at a price City dictate? Am I missing something here?

Of course it’s not just Citeh ITK, we’ve had gospel from the Daily Star and the Daily Mail too mate. :cautious: :ROFLMAO:

I really hope that no one boos Kane tonight regardless if he is in the stadium or not or even next weekend.

Booing doesnt help anything.

Instead, those in the stadium should carry on singing his song, one of our own, etc.

Show him, show City, show the current players that we are bigger than that.

Do not let City or Kane’s shenenigans have any negative impact on us.

C’mon, we are all emotional about what happened a week ago and naturally have the right to be pissed off but deep down in us, we would rather he stays with us, sign a new contract and reiterate his commitment right?

Booing wont help us to convince him to stay, neither would it cheer the team in any way.

We are Tottenham Hotspur, no name on the back is bigger than the cock on the ball in the front of the shirt.

Let’s egg our club on, get some confidence with a win tonight, followed by 3 points next week where its better to play them with many unavailable/unfit players on opening day rather than in Sept when they have a full squad.

I respectfully disagree I'm afraid. Although I don't know the possibility of Silva being included in a deal, I feel he would be an excellent acquisition and exactly what we are missing. He's a fantastic player and the only reason he's been quiet the past season or so is due to the ridiculous rotation of Pep. We need tricky players who can create something out of nothing and that's exactly what he can do.

As has been mentioned, he apparently wants to return home and if this is the case then including him in the deal would be very difficult. It's not impossible however as it was touted that Nuno wanted to return home following his mutual termination at Wolves.

I haven't heard much on the Kane front to be honest but feel we would have a greater chance including Silva into the deal over Laporte.

My personal feeling is City will return with intent this week and that Kane will eventually leave. Watching City yesterday you can see they're crying out for a #9.

Am I completely crazy in being disappointed we didn't keep Vinicius?

I thought there were flashes of an all round player there that could link up well with Son.

I admire your positivity and optimism mate, but I think we all know he's not going to have that song sung to him ever again. He was 'one of our own' but he's not any more, and he can only blame himself for that, not the club and certainly not the fans.

At this stage anyway, we don't even know if he'll ever play for us again.

They will be guaranteed 25 prem goals with Kane as long as he stays injury free.
Hardest thing in football is finding a goal scorer esp for the Prem league.

sets us back massively. We may get lucky and find a striker who takes to the prem and we may not. We’re miles off top 4 now if we sell him back to competing for 6-10th and a europa league place

It's probably not going to be 25 additional goals though, they already score loads, it means goals which were shared around might be concentrated more on strikers.

I was going to suggest he may pop up with an important goal in a final etc. but watching his performances for us and England in finals the evidence suggests otherwise.

They had an article in the Mirror about Kane and quoted some lawyer saying that Kane's brother was 'naive' to think that a gentleman's agreement was enough to secure a move as a written agreement is better than a verbal one - no shit, I don't think that you need a law degree to realise that.

It's incredible really how much the media has been willing to keep bandying on about this 'gentleman's agreement' without any attempt to actually suggest what it actually means. Should the club just sell at whatever City want to offer? The media seem to be totally in the thrall of Manchester City and I've seen very few media sources that have seen it from the Spurs point of view.
