Why are Spurs being portrayed as the bad guys here? It's City who are the problem. Pap G does an interview openly stating we want Kane deliberately disrupting the player and Spurs. Its all wrong.

All we are asking is for the player to honour his contract, alternatively the buying club to pay to an agreed fee and he can F$£k off!

I hate these clubs that have come into money, they forget where they were prior to this. The ignorance is immense & nobody likes you! I like it that DL is digging his heels in and for once, maybe they can't have what money can buy!
From the majority of the debates and discussions I’ve heard, other than from the Man City side I genuinely don’t think that is what most fans and pundits think.
Kane and his brother have come across as disrespectful and amateurish. Most already have an opinion on Levy which won’t change any time soon!

City are the winners here, admittedly it could cost them

But at best the get a player they desperately need

At worst they have pretty much ensured that Spurs no longer have Harry Kane as they did, he will never be the same even if he does play.

Nah, Kane desperately wants to break Shearer's record.

He can't afford to down tools if he doesn't get his move.

It's a PR firm, it's not the agency dealing with his moves.

It's someone to improve his public image.

Not sure I'd pay the first bill they give you H.

Sounds like H wouldn't be able to successfully hire a DVD from Blockbuster (back in the day), let alone an adviser that would actually help him.
A better PR team will probably allow for positive and effective discussions between the camps, no? Could be wrong, but if so, in regards of Kane leaving this is a step forward for him

No, we are the winners. We either get 160 million for a 28 year old and can reinvest it to improve the side, or we keep Kane and he wins the golden boot again this season.

Not sure if anyone's posted it yet, but some very tenuous claims of info on BM:

I’ve just been told that we’ve got a team of people traveling to London tomorrow, looks like it’s one final push to sign him.

Watch this space over the next few days (hopefully )

I thought our hierarchy were already based in London? Do you mean medical staff mate?

I couldn’t tell you mate, my post was pretty much all that was said in the text….. but I will see if I can find out more.

Doubt it will be medical people though, I’d expect him to travel up here for that.
very true, just thought all our main offices and boss men were based in london, appreciate the update though. :)

So I’ve been given a bit more detail. The meeting is with Kane’s camp not the club, and is happening in a hotel in Hertfordshire

Tried to make it make sense, as it was a conversation between two posters

Surely City wouldn't be allowed to have a meeting with Kane and his representatives unless we've accepted an offer?

PSG look like strong contenders for CL, Atletico Madrid are always good, and now Chelsea might be favorites for Premier league, with United and Liverpool looking quite good too. They will pay in the end, too much competition this year.

I don't buy this. City don't really give a shit about how Kane performs for Spurs as we're no longer a threat, and knowing Kane he'll be gagging to get back in the side and start scoring the second the window shuts.

Kane's relationship with the fans and the club has been tarnished but, beyond missing the first few games of the season, I don't think Kane's going to suddenly drop in quality and stop being our best player if he stays. If he can't win trophies at Spurs he still sure as hell wants to win the personal accolades like the golden boot and beat Shearer's record - he literally lives for that stuff.

That seems like an admission that they've fucked it to me. As long as they aren't speaking to Levy then a deal won't happen.

He'll be fine, Personal records are a goal of his it's not like he's going to stop scoring goals. Plenty of players before him have not got what they wanted and then got on with what they should. This isn't a romantic breakup it's just business, it doesn't have to be emotional.

I personally don't want this to be over unless we get exactly what we want, you got to have the stomach for a long protracted negotiation. No need to rush or sell quickly, a 3-year contract with no release fee, we're never going to be the losers here.

You sell quick for less and hold on longer for more.

If, and it's a big if, this is true, I think we can look forward to even more exciting media bullshit this week.

I’m going to play devils advocate here. I understand why Kane wants to leave. Best striker in the world, 28 years old, no silverware at all. We all know why City is the obvious choice as they always win something. Now we also know what a hard ass levy is when it comes to players leaving. So many of our players in the past had to end up throwing their toys out the pram to get levy to budge so maybe Harry feels this is what it takes. Remember the famous quote from sir Alex saying dealing with Levy was more painful than hip replacement. I’m not saying what Harry is doing is the right thing but more maybe he feels this is the only way he can get his move.

I don't really understand the whole meeting with camp Kane; what is the point in meeting them when you have to deal with club to sanction the transfer?

I want him gone, £140m + some add ons. Way too many bridges have been burnt and I don't think he's willing to sign a new contract to repair them.

If we could do something like: Sarr (£40m), Vlahovic (£60m), Bissouma (£30m) and Milenkovic (£13m)

I'm pretty sure we'll be a stronger team as a result.

So do I but its just never going to happen. Its very clear he wants City far more than they want him and they simply won't pay what he's worth. Really hope I'm wrong and we get a chance to reinvest that money because we will be much better off for it in the end.

Are they really? Even with no strikers they won the league by 12 points.

It's the CL final, Fa cup semi, the weekend league game they lost without scoring where Kane comes in. He'd win them so many games where they just need to take one chance.
