A neutral could argue they have done similar business to us this summer (they've just spent a little more):

Gollini / Ramsdale - Very decent young GKs to be long term #1
Romero / White - Promising young CBs with a lot of potential
Sarr / Lokonga - Promising young CMs with a lot of potential
Gil / Odegaard - Promising young AMs with a lot of potential

The difference is in our established / experienced players

Kane is way better than Abameyeung
Son is way better than Lacazette
Højbjerg is way better than Xaka
etc.

Gollini in a champs league team. Ramsdale relegated twice in a row. £15m cheaper
Romero won serie A defender of the year and Copa America winner. White only recently broke into a team near the bottom of the table. £7.5m cheaper.
Sarr a regular in Ligue 1 and Senegalese international at 18. Lokonga only played in Belgian league and udner 21 player. £5m cheaper.
Gil & Odegard. £15/20m cheaper.

The difference is what appears early is that we have done much better business.

He has said in the past positive things about them down the road and he turned us down so that's my very thin thinking

Irrational I know, but that grin, and his inherent smugness is so Arsenal. He just screams future Arsenal manger whenever I see him interviewed.

I dunno why but I feel Rodgers would go there as it would be a new challenge and well- my feeling is that he wants to go there Ass**e

If Arteta does get the push and Rodgers gets that job, then he'll prove himself to be unspeakable dickweasel, after having turned us down at least twice in the media, saying he was entirely happy at Leicester.
.
The mere mention of Gattuso's name really made me laugh. He'd be a beautiful nightmare and Arsenal would be the gift that just keeps giving.

'Sacked in the morning, you're getting sacked in the morning'

I have to say, I recorded their match while I watched the cricket and watched afterwards on double speed so as to blank out all the bone-headed commentary...and I have to say in all my years, this is the very worst Arsenal team I've ever seen, and right now, I'm like a pig in shit.

That is why I said a neutral could argue ...

We all clearly know that Romero is far superior than White, Sarr better than Lokonga etc. but on paper they are very similar squad rebuilds.

At least Lampard had some experience of management.
Hiring Arteta was like going to the barbers and letting the kid who sweeps the floor cut your hair...the likelihood of walking out of the barbers looking like a **** is almost immeasurable.

Unfortunately, he still has more FA Cups as manager than we have in the last 30 years. Burns a little.

When arteta took over and they won the FA cup i honestly thought they were looking good for the future. I can't believe how it's turned out, there recruitment has been so poor too. Imagine if they didn't have saka, they would literally not have anybody to rely on
