Well that was a shower of shit.

What could go wrong did go wrong and it started with team selection. Why shift Tanganga out of RB when he has been fantastic? Rodon has shown to be a more than capable CB. As for playing Winks…. Meh.

One of the worst managerial performances I can recall. How can you not put on an offensive player when losing 1-0? He seemed to be happy to lose 1-0.

Nuno better learn from this, otherwise he won’t be here long.

We looked very poor today. Very easy to blame the transfer window - however despite this (and the international issues) our side on paper should be not be rolling over and having our bellies tickled by Crystal Palace like this. Not sure there were many who could hold their heads up high today - possibly Reggy? We go again Thursday. Sunday will speak volumes, if this group of players (and Kane in particular) can’t show passion against Chelsea then I worry for our season.

A long time ago it was when we last were really brave.

Lots of players missing, alright, Gil, go for it and show your class.

.... or get 0 minutes while our three holding midfielders run around like useless chickens.

Possibly Nuno not making changes was a dig at Levy. In particular no forward added to squad. I don't have the players need/want so just have to make do.

Can't wait for the spurs official interview with Nuno...

Nuno we battled really hard for 60 mins, then the sending off.

Missing a lot of players but we fought hard.

Games now coming thick and fast, we need to dust ourselves down for Thursday.

Would love for once that we could ask some decent questions...

Nuno - why after producing nothing in the first half did you not change for the second half?

Nuno - once we went 1-0 down did you not make an attacking change to get back into the game?

Nuno - our performances against Wolves, Watford were not great but we managed a 1-0 win, which glossed over a lot, today we did get found out, is the style going to remain the same going forward?
We battered Watford and could easily have beaten them 4.0 on another day.

No, you were having a dig at your fellow supporters. A dig that made no sense in the context of the game

No context in the game? What a team making a substitution? A second striker? One that scored ? No context to the game you say? If you can’t see we need serious changes to our squad recruitment then i can’t help you mate. This is gonna be a shite season again. And will get worse when we get the Kane ankle twist and son turning into Ginger Pele for 2 months like he usually does after February.

I don't know what game you were watching, we did not batter them, we struggled to break them down, we had a few good chances to seal the game, but it wasn't a dominant performance, they created chances as well.

Different season same old problems this club is dying a slow death, only goes to show how far away we are from a successful club which we will never be.

Playing 3 CDMs is just inviting pressure, they all play sideways the majority of the time and never push up.
The amount of times we just play sideways inviting a team to press us is ridiculous. Emerson was available throughout the game and we never fed him once with a diagonal pass! Our defense looks worse than it is most of the time because we are always defending. Sooner or later its to be expected a mistake or an unfortunate deflection will happen!
As for today and having one shot on target and setting up like that, then not making an attacking substation.......
How is that remotely acceptable at our level? It is down right neglegent.

Nuno will be in big trouble if we lose to both Chelsea and arse.
Can’t see us beating Rennes with our reserves
With crowds back he can’t offer that shit up at home

Even before Tanganga went off we were poor, that selection was just woeful. 3 defensive minded midfield players!! No wonder the ball didn't go anywhere resembling forward. Just that same kick it around midfield and back to defenders routine. Gil and Tanguy should have been given the nod at half time, taking off Winks and Skipp with Ali moving central and Gil out wide of the front 3. I cannot abide this " Best form of Defence is More defence" managerial style, It's fucking shite.

We didn’t lose today because Levy didn’t sanction Traore’s 50M transfer. We lost today because the manger got the starting team/tactics wrong and then did nothing to rectify his error. It’s ridiculous to lay the blame for every defeat at the feet of the chairman. Whatever the pros and cons of the transfer window and despite the absences we had today we still have a better squad selection than Palace so today’s performance is the fault of the coaching staff and players not the boardroom.
The coaching staff was hired by Levi. If they are not good enough that is down to him too. Where we are as a club is all down to Levi as he has had 20 years to get us to where we are. Pretty much nowhere. Hes got fabulously rich in the process too.

I doubt whether even Levy could have selected a worse team, set up and been so passive as it unwound. Let’s not deflect accountability for this performance, Nuno needs to own this one exclusively.

Selection wasn’t great, but we did have limited options and the international break totally screwed us.

Romero and Las Celso stuck in Croatia, Sanchez out, Skipp carrying a knock, Sonny out, the Dier gets injured after 11 mins, Tanganga gets himself sent off, Davies comes on to shore up the defence and the ball hits his hand and we concede a penalty.

Not sure about Ndombele’s fitness but the game was crying out for him with the score at 0-0.

We (and Nuno) didnt help ourselves yesterday, it was a terrible performance, but it does also appear that the universe was determined that we would lose.

This match was like a perfect storm of shit. The options were bad because of several missing 1st team players, the setup was bad and most of the individual performances were bad but Nuno effectively only had one voluntary sub at his disposal because of the Dier injury and the Japh red. The defence was already hindered from the outset with the changes forced by Dave's absence then it got progressively worse throughout the match until we ended up with a Rodon/Davies back 2. Yes Nuno could've thrown on Gil or Ndombele but I don't think it would've made a difference - I think the mistakes were made when he set the starting 11 up.

We need to be much more firm with players when it comes to these upcoming international breaks. Injuries happen but this quarantine situation is a total nonsense. Our starting 11 and bench options were very obviously weakened because those 3 players swanned off to a red list country and we're still probably going to suffer against Chelsea as well, it simply cannot be allowed to happen again.

At the end of the day the manager’s decisions were questionable but we were let down by several players in several different ways. The three in Croatia, enough said, Kane strolling about, and Tanganga not playing to the whistle - protest when the ball goes dead. Royal was thrown in the deep end, Skipp was carrying an injury. It was all a bit of a shitshow we need to put down to experience and move on. Nuno has had his honeymoon period and it’s well and truly over, that’s for sure.

IN my humble opinion we lack a real captain, a player who would of seen the red mist in JT and got hold of him to stress, focus on the game not the player, don't react and keep the defensive shape. He might then still be on the pitch at the end, but no as always there was of lot verbal jousting, moaning at the ref and no one putting their arms round a kids neck and say chill out, focus, don't get wound up by a twat. I think Spurs lack a genuine leader who will bollick , cajole or tell the fuck to shut up as and when needed to whoever.
